Just wondering if I'm too late to the game, so to speak....just started researching this and I understand that Amazon is cracking down on retail arbitrage. Can one still do FBA and buy things at retailers?? From what I understand, in some categories you can now only buy wholesale? I don't want to invest time/money/effort into this and then not be able to have the option of buying retail for FBA.

L. Q Although there have been a few more brand restrictions in 2016 Retail Arbitrage is alive and well. People tend to focus on what the can't sell rather than what they CAN sell. I do retail arbitrage every week and have for 8 years. it is still a viable business model.

I label boxes as well if you don't want to write on them tape plastic sleeves you use for folders and tape on...then you can write on paper and keep inside and change when you need too....thank you for another wonderful video...

Beto - If you are an individual selling on Amazon you would register as sol-proprietor. If you aren't sure of the business benefits between and LLC and sol-prop we recommend speaking with a CPA or attorney to see what works best for your situation.

Once your box ships in, you'll want to check to make sure they received all of the items. You'll get an email notifying you when they are receiving the shipment. Also, pay attention to any feedback you receive or messages from buyers.

Do you mean EIN #? You should be able to change that in your settings on Amazon. Go to seller central > settings (top right) > account info > tax info and follow the steps to make the necessary changes

You can change it. You need to go into seller central > settings > account info > business information > legal entity > edit and follow the wizard. You should be able to change to an EIN on page 2.

@@beepingbeej A prep center will charge you a fee to process each item. Usually $1+ (bundles cost more). Some prep centers include boxes while others don't. We use and recommend www.MyPrepCenter.com For SINGLE items, you can send directly to Amazon to prep, however, a prep center will prevent you from incurring fees from Amazon if the produce arrives damaged from the shipping process. You would also be able to more easily manage the return to the vendor if needed.

Great question Frank. The answer is, it depends. There are suppliers out there who are willing to prep the items for you (sticker, poly bag, etc) and send directly to Amazon. If you are sending individual items (not bundling or multi-packs) you can pay Amazon per item to do those things for you but that gets expensive quickly. If you don't want to handle the product, you can also send it to one of the many prep facilities available and have them prep and send the inventory in for you.

Great question. If the product you are sending already has a barcode (the pictorial representation of a UPC code) you don't need to purchase UPC codes. When you list your item on Amazon, you enter the UPC code and Amazon will direct you to print out a label with a Fulfillment Network SKU (FNSKU) that you will attach to your item. Kenn, we need a little more detail to answer your question. What are you putting a blank sticker over? The original barcode? You need to put a sticker with your FNSKU on it so that Amazon knows that the product was yours and will compensate you when the item sells. Don't give up on Amazon... even when you live in a place like Alaska. You could purchase wholesale and send to a prep center in the lower 48 and have them ship to Amazon. Sellers form outside of the US do this, you can to. There is a lot of market share up for grabs on Amazon. Ask yourself one question, "By sending in my first box, what's the worst that can happen?" Nothing sells? If you use the free tools at your disposal to help you determine what to send in, it's highly unlikely for this to happen. If it does, learn from it and keep moving forward. You can do this!
