Yes it typically slows down after installing Google play store unless you insert a high capacity class 10 , a1 (or a2) app optimized SanDisk sd card and use it as internal formatted storage. Do this after installing Google play. Because afterwards every app downloaded on the new 8th gen and 9th gen fire hd 8 and 10 tablets will be installed on the card. And there won't be a burden on the internal storage of the tablet therefore not slowing down the tablet at all.

you should switch to CX File explorer - many devices won't give ES permission to write to external on recent android versions. CX no problem

There are several out there, I followed one and had no problems with installation. I did a Google search on my PC, found one that I went to their web page on my Fire and just had to tap on the links to download. I followed the instructions and had no problems. It was easier than I thought it would be.

2gb of ram with a custom bloated skin. I just can't imagine this thing won't become a lag fest like my Shield tablet did. I was hoping someone would come out with a tablet with enough power to run Android for longer than 3 months without lagging and cost a realistic amount. I already see that thing stuttering when swiping through the launcher. I wish people cared about making quality Android tablets. 😥

@@chinoa8579 exactly, that's the whole point pple miss! Of course an iPad is going perform much better! However, this is half the price and for what it does it's more than capable. I ordered one and it's pretty snappy! Watch all my favorite shows and navigate for what I need it for! You honestly can't beat it for the price! My old tablet was starting to die and I did not want to dish out too much money for a secondary device. This fit the bill perfectly! Not disappointed at all with it.
