I love the videos from Chris! Totally changed my hair. I wondered why it wasn’t “growing.” Realized after watching his channel that it was growing, the problem was it was breaking off from being dry and fragile.

*Pureology Leav-In* . I'm 55, have low density, baby fine medium brown salt and pepper hair. I saw instant results with the Pureology Leave In. I definitely over applied the first time I used it, my hair was super shiny and silky but looked stringy the following day. The second usage, I sprayed two pumps in my hand and raked and brushed through, much better results. On my third was day, I did not use the leave in and still felt my hair was showing results. Love the Blowout Professor channel!

My very favorite tip for hair rehabilitation is to get weekly blowouts. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but I promise you, it's the best thing you can do because it will give you amazing hair you don't have to touch at all for 3-5 days. Preserves color, minimizes heat damage, and helps you psychologically just not to stress/mess with it. Seems like you travel for a living, so it could be like going on a long-term salon tour! Personally, I go to Ulta on my lunch hour and see the same stylist at least twice a month. Best $42 therapy session money can buy, in my opinion, and has REALLY helped rehab my hair!! (The points accumulation is awesome too).

@TashVitorsky
@TashVitorsky 2 жыл бұрын
That’s something I struggled with also. Breakage from dry ends. I would def recommend a leave in conditioner + an oil (smallest amount) on the ends. As Elizabeth mentioned, ogx does have a decent oil. I tried one of their oils way back in the day. amzn.to/3WlkZih Not sure if they reformulated I’ve seen quite a difference in my hair from using a hair mask, then shampoo+conditioner, leave in conditioner, hair oil lightly on ends. I tried hair oil by itself without the above routine and while it helped a bit, my hair was still lacking moisture. The hair mask, conditioner + leave in conditioner rly helped to add in moisture to my hair.

Also you forgot the hair oil and the ends of the hair. He recommended the Olaplex hair oil. It’s for hair growth.. shampoo for scalp, leave in conditioner for length, oil for the ends. You need to put the oil after using heat on the hair or you gonna fried your hair.

Love this video, some great products! A couple ideas I would try is to rough dry your hair first. Meaning use just your hands. Hair stretches 50% more when it's wet and can break when using a brush meant for tension styling(round brush) while wet. Dry to about 70-80%. It should feel cold but look dry-ish. If brush gets stuck, it's still too damp. Use the round brush to get volume, curl etc. on the surface and ends. Leave the root and mids underneath, textured, and it will give more volume. Brushes are meant to smooth, smooth hair lays flater, and fine hair typically lays flat all on its own! ❤

I like his videos but I just don't have any success with oils. Plus I don't care what anyone says...putting oil in your hair before heat use doesn't make sense ??? I'm no chemist but just seems wrong lol. Anyway the oils make my hair stringy and dirty much faster so not sure if oils are good for fine hair in general. I like the Color Fanatic spray best for when I'm air drying my wavy hair. Gives it more wave and less frizz (if I leave it alone after spraying ) especially when getting out of the pool. Plus, it smells delish. Always looking for tips on fine hair products that also help frizz. I have the worst trifecta...thin, fine and frizz (and bleached 😂)

When you had tape ins on the sides did you find it causes damage at all ❤
@TashVitorsky
@TashVitorsky 2 жыл бұрын
The only times I noticed some damage from tapes (which btw I’ve used numerous times), was when the tape was awful quality and didn’t want to come out of my hair so I had to battle with it to get it out. If the tape is good quality, it will slide right out with remover solution. But you do have to be careful with tape ins. Careful with brushing so you’re not tugging causing damage. Too much weight on the hair can be a no no for some, that’s why I like clip ins. Only wear them for a bit and remove them. But tape ins are much more convenient. And you don’t rly have to worry about them. So in theory, no they don’t. But they can. As with anything we do to manipulate the natural state of the hair.
