I got this because it also works in conjunction with my Ring Doorbell app. I can access my doorbell cam, Ring security system and now my garage door from one app. I love that. The Honeywell Smart thermostats (models T5, T6, T9, T10) also work in conjunction with the Ring App but I don’t have one of those.

Cn you use your old controls to open up the garage or they no longer operate, or do you have to install the app on other phones to open the garage? thanks

Everything works normal with the old controllers. And yes, you need to download the app. You can download it on multiple phones !

Good video. Thanks. I just bought one of these but I have not installed it yet. I did watch the Chamberlain video that they have on KZbin. They show that when you install the receiver on the roof it needs to be 4 feet away from any metal like the door track. Interesting

Hey what's buddy! Yes it still works man. I don't use it often. Honestly I sometimes I forget I have it. But when I get home and don't have my Keys on me or something I actually use it to get it. Nowadays I reverse out with my car so hard to forget to close the garage door that way! Thanks for checking out the video!

Hi there! Absolutely fenomenal it is extra next to your regular garage opener. About 1 month ago, the battery warning came on. And replaced it. Cost like 4$ I believe. I'll make a 1 year video update and talk about minor inconvenience.

Hey I'm about to install mine. The instructions say to place the MyQ 4 feet away from the garage door opener, but i see that you placed yours about a foot away, which is what I wanted to do. Have you had any issues with it being so close?

Closer is better! As long as the MyQ has good internet range you are good 2 go!

Garage height is just a bit more than 8 FT. About 100 inches.
