Dan, I stumbled across your channel just yesterday and this pro tip was what I needed to hear. Mindset is everything!! I’ve come to realize that my mindset is what’s been holding me captive to an hourly job. I’ve listened to Rich Dad Poor Dad before but apparently I need to listen to it again and let it sink in this time. Going to Ollie’s today for my first sourcing trip as a “business owner”. It's about timing. Have to find out when your Ollie's gets their deliveries. Then plan on going to that Ollie's 2-3 after. If you wait 5 days... Good stuff is gone.

That appears to be a good business model when sourcing from Ollie's. Lot of people sourcing and just need to wait them out.

I see several people that have great experiences at Ollie's. The stores look organized with stuff on the shelf correctly, etc... All of my Ollie's (5 in my general area) look like a tornado went through them. Everything on the ground, what is on the shelf is just scattered everywhere and not stacked or on the hooks, carts of stuff everywhere so you can't even go down an aisle, on and on... Almost impossible to shop there for me. I keep hoping they'll get there stuff together. I get a little jealous seeing the better stores in these videos LOL. Great video.

Couple things here... First, it's all about when they get their trucks. most Ollie's get one delivery a week. Plan on going to that Ollie's two or three days after that delivery. If you go five days... All the new stuff is gone. Second thing... The Ollie's that are the least organized and appealing are my favorite. A lot of people stay clear of the messy Ollie's. I have great luck at those Ollie's. It may be difficult to find items you are looking for but that also means that many people stay clear. Unfortunately, all the Ollie's near me have remodeled. Go throw those carts full of stuff. A lot of hidden jems in those !!

Hey Dan. How do you deal with price tankers? I have inventory that is being tanked by other FBA sellers

Not a lot we can do about that. It's a part of doing business. The only time I get concerned about tankers is when I have an item with an expiration. Other that that, I just wait it out. When I purchase items from Ollie's, I no longer rush to send it in. I wait a few weeks and see what happens to the number of sellers. If I see a the price tanking or number of sellers increase, I box it up and check back in a month.

Hey Chris, Really depends on your needs and how much you spend. I am in my fourth bolo group. When I started, I used a free Bolo group. It helped me get my feet wet. Most of the bolos would tank but I did ok with that. I was then in one for $20 a month. I don't think I made much with that bolo group. I was then in Niki Kirk's group for 6 months. Her group was $70 a month. Did ok with that group when I started but the last two months it did not pay for itself. A lot of recycled bolos. The group I am in now is $150 a month. There is a lot to the group. The Ollie's Bolo is about 1% of what the group offers. I prefer this group because of the use of the discord channel. Lot easier to use when you are out sourcing. I don't have to print our a spreadsheet or word doc... I just scroll through the discord. It is a better use of my time. I also like the fact that members share good bolos. I have also had members of the group DM me 10% coupons for Ollie's. Hope that helps.
