@@danflynn7342 Thanks for the content Dan. Pro tip for you... Seller Amp provides a history on the dates you scan. You can look at SA and get the exact day you first scanned, the price it was, the price it was selling for, etc. Much better than the stickers IMO. 🙂

@danflynn7342 Жыл бұрын

Hey Danny, sounds like you have a reseller visiting your store before you do. That happens. I would suggest that you find out when they receive their delivery. Most Ollie's get one truck a week. Plan one visiting the Ollie's 2 or 3 days after the truck arrives. Good Luck !!

@Dan Flynn I understand some people say business is business and blah blah but it seems to me that to buy something from a brick and mortar store FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF RESELLING, and than returning it when it doesn't sell for as much or as often as you want is a real scumbag move.
@danflynn7342 Жыл бұрын
"Scumbag"... Ouch !! pretty harsh term when you consider that I am not harming anyone or anything in this process. I am not deceitful with Ollie's employees or management. The items are not being thrown into a landfill and in the end, a person who wants or needs the item, gets it. But, you are entitled to your opinion. Best of luck to you.
@Erati243 Жыл бұрын
@@danflynn7342 So when you take your product back to Ollie's you say "Hey I am returning this because I tried to resell it and it isn't selling fast enough for me?" Doubtful... also most likely you ARE costing them money as 99% of stores throw out ANY returned food item rather it has been opened or not.

@@danflynn7342 great idea Dan! I spoke with my accountant and in a roundabout way she made it seem as if I wouldn't benefit from a tax exemption. But I know ollie's offers it, and if I plan on sourcing from ollie's and other FBA sellers are sourcing with a tax exemption, I'm going to get nowhere. So is she right? Or should I get started on getting the tax exemption?
@danflynn7342 Жыл бұрын
Hello Judy, Sorry for the late reply, life got busy. Not sure why you would not benefit from tax exemption? I live in Pa. State sales tax is 6%. If I buy $1000 of merchandise, I also pay $60 in sales tax. If you are exempt, you don't pay the $60. Now, you can claim the $60 of tax as a deduction when you file taxes but it's not the same. You don't get the full $60 deduction as a $60 back to you. You get $60 taking off your total sales for the year, it reduces your tax liability. Not the same as not paying the $60 in the first place. Hope that makes sense.

@@danflynn7342 Tax Exemption is great! Ollies, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Walgreens take them... some places do not so you have to change your style a bit for those stores. Target, CVS do not, but Target offers 5% Red Card discounts... anyway to make those profits more is worth it! Especially at Ollies as they're the worst tankers I've seen. lol I'll never truly understand how people are happy with a 5-10% ROI. (but you'll see, they are...or they're cash poor and have to get that money back faster) I just don't see how they're making money that way but ok... 🙂

@@danflynn7342 Thanks Dan. It does make sense. I did some digging into it and got totally lost by the process. I could really use some help on getting this stuff! Could the spray paint be one of many color variations on the listing and the one you have is not a popular color? I have the same issue with foundation. BSR 22k in beauty but there are many color variations on the buyers listing so mine doesn’t sell as fast as I thought it would!

It is probably something like that. They have a different UPC but it appears they are be classified together.
@ThomAdFree Жыл бұрын
Yep, definitely due to the amount of variations... I saw over a dozen when I looked them up. Probably one of the colors that isn't as popular. 😞
