I noticed the Bullfighter's headstock looks like that other Chinese brand headstock ,so I think what is happening is that those brands are produced by the same company with differing logos & names & owned by the same company. sorta like a candy company that produces all sorts of candy with differing names but owned by the same company... different variations on the theme, so if this is the case then the QC is pretty much the same with all the same parts.

Joe you lead folks in some good directions. Yep, this is Bullfighter's " Squier". For every extra 10$ a person spends on one of these and the higher grade Bullfighter, they get about 40$ or 50$ better axe. The standard Bullfighter like the sunburst one you reviewed is a fantastic guitar value. They are still only around 100$ Either is a deal.

Scarr is one of the few i have seen that used a fretrocker on a Bullfighter and found all the frets were level. Really amazing.

Just my two cents. IF the photo of the guitar is correct, I guarantee you the body is paulownia {nice and light} , not basswood. Basswood has barely any grain, paulownia is very pronounced.

If these are coming from the same place, with the same headstock, looks like all the rebranded ones out there like donner, tease, geatit, Harley Benton, glarry, and LyX. How do these stack up to the squires made in Indonesia? Are these poplar wood? With a modding guitar, I want to make it close to a fender as possible. Its probably just better to find a deal on a fender stratocaster. The donner 400, seems to be the closes one to a high end guitar.

Hey Joe. I got a little summer gig where I try to score a new budget guitar by July or August each summer. Please guide me my friend. I want a traditional Tele 50’s or 60’s model. Don’t want to spend a grand on a Fender. Anything you’ve reviewed that you would recommend in the $300-$400 range maybe a little more if I can find the right instrument. Looking for a solid Tele but a guitar tech friend wants to sell me a personal Squire 69 Teli thinline from his collection. How much are they different Joe? Ever play them side by side?

I have never had a Fender branded tele, but I have had several Squier Classic Vibe Tele's and now have a 40th Anniv Squier Tele. Hey Joe. I doubt I’ll find a Fender in my price range. I’ve been looking for a traditional Tele, String thru, 3 saddle. Now the Luthier who set up another guitar for me said he’s selling one of his personal guitars, a Squier 69 Tele Thinline that he’ll let go for $300. Not sure I’ll like the Thinline but I’m sure he’s taken real good care of it. I’ve read some reviews where some say it has more of a jazz sound. I’m conflicted

@@J.P.-yc7ld The Tele Thinlines are great guitars. Rock, Jazz, Blues or Country. If it is in great condition take a look. See if you can snag it for $270 / $280.

The Standard Bullfighter is a bit nicer and although the single coils are ceramic, they are useable and the neck is very nice with a nice fret job. I have a couple. They have a nice heel joint and a way better finish than you'd expect. They are about 100$. Nicely boxed,

Probably made by the same company as Glarry!! when you see a guitar that cheap, it’s probably pretty crappy

These are made by a mid sized factory that actually is named Bullfighter. ( Yes, the factory even has a Bullfighter sign on the front) They are state owned but comparatively small. These are more comparable to a Firefly or Donner than a Glarry. A guy could actually gig on the Bullfighter without doing any upgrades. They even polish the frets and do a bit of fret dressing on these.
