We sell the expensive kit. I'm sorry about the fire 😥 or lack there of I should say. We sell on a few marketplaces and one of the warehouses that store our gear is really stringent about storing flammable items, or anything to do with fire. We will try and work something out though to include storm proof matches or something along those lines. There is another fire starter in the shovel also. You guys made me laugh really hard though and I actually liked the video. It hurt me seeing you rip the sleeping bag though lol. The food is tough - some people really like the freeze dried meals and they hate the 3600 calorie brick, and vice versa. 60 liter is the size of the backpack ✅ The "lifetime supply of qtips" in the other kit made me laugh 😂

I was looking at that and the only think i could think of was... Where are the esbit tablets. You should put a "warning" or even an "auto link" with the pack to a 12/24 pack esbit tablet box for the stove.

Always eagerly awaiting my Sunday afternoon shew! Flint rod works best when you scrape off a decent pile of shavings on top of your fire starter. Once your pile of shavings seems large enough to ignite the starter around it, then you strike the flint on it and all the shavings burn crazy hot to catch the pile on fire. Loved the video!

With the finger saw, put the flashlight in one ring, the pan in the other ring, (sticks will work as well), grab one in each hand with the saw blade coming out between your middle and ring fingers. It gives you more power and doesn’t hurt your fingers.

Yo Flair vid made my day. FYI both of your "survival" kits are rlly good, but as a general survival kit I would say the 12 dollar one is best. I say this because it quite literally has life saving equipment. The emergency blanket made of a foil material is meant to maintain a person's body temp until additional aid is available/arrives. It also acts as a reflective marker for aerial rescuers Then again one of them is more of a 72 hour bug out bag. Also the glass breakers from survival kits are sort of hit and miss in terms of functionality. Still that hatchet makes the pen glass breaker useless.

Hello, Flair. I enjoyed your lake update video. What impact did the rain that caused your lake to fill have on your hatchery project? In that video, you show one of your deer hunting blinds while you're on the lake, and talk about having some poles dangling for catfish while you're deer hunting; will catfish and venison be your version of Surf & Turf?

Going through some older videos and noticed. That hand saw in the cheap kit can also be used as a snare to trap up to a coyote probably. But you could rig it up along a rabbit trail or bobcat track. When I was age 5 up to my teens I was trained in survival techniques. I was in a group that was kind of like the scouts but way better. We learned stuff from all different people including Native Americans, military personnel, hunters and tappers. I love and cherish the knowledge that was passed to me when I was younger. Many old timers tales were passed my way.

With flint you need fine tender, something to catch the spark. The best thing you have on you if they’re dry is lint from your Sox. Pinch and pull the surface of your sock in different spots until you have enough then use that to catch the spark which you can grow to catch the other tender on fire.
