You need to TWIST the string on the recurve so that you have a bigger brace height. (Brace height = from throat of grip to string). Start around 6.5-7inches.

If it’s legal on the river you fish you should save the carp you shoot and use it when you set lines this summer. The skin from the carp holds onto the hook very well and the oils from the fish gives a lot of scent

went to a lake house in texas with a childhood friend and his family we all stayed for the weekend and on Saturday night they put on a huge "catfish" fry and everyone was loving it and raving over this "catfish" that a few of the guys caught that afternoon but little did they know it was all carp they hadn't had much luck and didn't want to pick up food in town to feed the party and fed everyone carp but they told everyone at the end and everyone had a good laugh

You can hear the difference between each bow by the way the sound of the arrow hits the water. Banjos arrow hit with hardly any sound. Andrews arrow has a splash sound.

35 lb. test Jr. Archery bow kit (solid fiberglass bow) with rubber grip and rest. Really cheap is all you need. I prefer 100 pound braid tied to open face "you wind it manually onto a Bear fishing line holder, taped onto the bow. Arrow, I prefer "push/pull" tip, which you retract into the arrow head, it deploys itself upon hitting your target.
