this is outstanding info for someone like me who just got invited to join Vine. Great to know that there is a 6-month timeframe/deadline to completing reviews.

Welcome aboard! Congratulations on becoming a Vine Reviewer. There are two tiers, gold and silver. Be sure to check out which one you’re in because they both have different criteria. And be careful how many item you order because when I first joined I ended up with a hefty tax bill. It was not a good thing at all. 😬

How often do they update the items?

They update pretty often. A lot depends on your habits as a shopper. I noticed how they offer me products based on what I’ve selected in the past. It’s also interesting how if you order a lot of stuff and then take to long to review the items, the algorithm will start limiting the number of items you can see.

Are there cool things that are worth it that have 0 estimated tax value? What are some of tthose things? Trying to decide if i should accept the vine invitation just for 0etv items.

It's mostly hair products (shavers, hair dryers, wigs, etc), food items, etc. Go ahead and accept the invite, you don't have to order anything, it is totally free. You're not on the hook for anything unless you order it. They do not send you random products.
