Nibs I have the Diana mount. It has a arrow on top of the mount. The springs go towards the rear. Have a great day. 😃

Does the diana mount have that same play or is it a tighter tolarence?

Thanks Nib, I have a Diana zero recoil mount and even that wobbles. I have been looking for a good video to explain and yours is the best.

I wonder if you could shim that one too?

Nibs question did you try it before you modified it. just curious ....just because it Wiggles which is never a good thing .....but as long as it Wiggles back into the exact same spot every single time you shoot then your point of aim would always be the same wouldn't it?
@WalnutandSteel8 ай бұрын
I didn’t but I thought about getting another one to test side by side with this one

The shims on the rods work well but I tighten the screws inside the rings but I think they worked loose. I am going to maybe put silicon on top of the screws to prevent them from backing out or perm locate. The scope get jar twice 1st back then when it goes forward so really it's only protected once. Should have screws front and back.

I meant springs front and back.

I'm so glad that you featured this product. Because I have really been enjoying the scope optic shooting improvements over iron sights but have struggled with having to readjust the scope almost every day. And I didn't want to risk a higher performing scope with the double recoil of a strong springer. So this was the ultimate economical and practical solution. I've shot with it two days now and am extremely satisfied. I don't mind the wobble because the evidence of my shooting paper at forty yards shows me that the scope returns to the same starting point before each shot. My grouping, accuracy, and repeatability has greatly improved.

Most spring guns move the piston forward so the gun recoils backward - you will want the stop pin/spring to the rear

Hi Nibs, I have the Diana zero recoil mount. It looks very similar but I am not sure if it is the same. When you line up to shoot it has a conical finger that centres the mount and it seems very steady with no slop or movement. Thanks for the video.

Hi nibs from new zealand, I enjoy your videos the only thing is I cannot believe how many guns you have on the wall that's the funny thing over there it's normal over here people would be asking questions if they saw that many guns in the background 😂
@WalnutandSteel3 ай бұрын
Not sure how normal it is!😂

Hmmm. Maybe just go for pneumatics and go iron sights on the springers. Russ

Its really to bad that we have to fix something brand new out of the box ! But i guess thats the way it works nowadays !

Hey Nibs, to comment on rivermans post, Diana created the zero mount the one you have is the chinese knock off. Right now it is the only ones you can find, all of the big airgun shops are on backorder and on average go for 80 bucks. I agree the amazon price is a good one and thanks for showing us the way to improve these ones, have a great day everyone from Western N.Y.

I jist came to see how to take this thing apart because im planning on getting one and cutting ann inch out of the middle to fit a compact scope. Im thinking theres allen screes inside the ring to releast them from the rods and that the spring only goes a littlebit into the mount. Im thinkingnif i cut an inch out of the base and off the rods it will make it smaller and fit on a compact scope with like 3in max and no wiggle room on scope ring distance

Id guess this is the same thing as the centerpoint / Crosman one 🤔 I had heard of this kind of upgrades before but yours looks especially smooth 💯 _It is nice to see an affordable option the Sportsmatch and Diana ones are probably nice out of the box but far from given away!_

I have several of the Diana(China) mounts, they all work great! I use Liquid Bearings on the rods. I will probably try the Amazon mount for my other air rifles.

Can you explain what is liquid bearing and how to use on rod in simple language. I have also have china zr mount but frustrated due to wobble and frequently zero out my scope

@@prithvirajfasale4155 It's a synthetic oil, I use on the rods. Don't use too much!

Hardest recoiling springer I have is my Hatsan Proxima. It shakes screws loose on scope mounts so easily.

I have no problems with doing a little tweaking. Thanks for the tip, I often looked at them online but assumed they were a gimmick. Look forward to you doing some testing.
