The one thing that makes me laugh about this whole incident, and there are many things that are laughable, is that apparently it's not the British way and it goes against the British sporting culture. Presumably that is the same sporting culture where diving, feigning injury, surrounding and disrespecting match officials, on and off the pitch racism and football hooliganism is rife. Those things are okay, whereas someone standing on a public thoroughfare watching a training session 200 yards away is such a heinous crime that everyone is up in arms about it. All football clubs do it. The abuse that Bielsa got from the media was actually pretty racist, but that's okay, because it is part of the British sporting culture...

This is a little insincere. Racism and hooliganism are certainly not seen as "okay" in English football, and with the exception of a couple of blow-hards most of the commentary on the spying incident was pretty lighthearted.
