As a Leeds fan of now 42 years born in Pontefract but moved in 1984 at 7 due to miners strike he is 1st manager since Grayson who actual gets what the club is about. He has returned the pride in the club & know our fan base can be demanding on players who deem to not try. But he stick to his guns & is stubborn as Yorkshire man with loyalty who always seem to come good, Bamford’s transformation has been impressive with stick he got last year, but Klich ,Dallas Cooper & Kelvin have just become better & better the longer they are managed by him.

I fall in love with leeds right away. i know they are special. when i first saw Bielsa, I knew he was special. the way he looks at the game and engaged with the game was extraordinary. In 1992 he took his Newell's old boys to the Libertadores Cup Final against São Paulo FC then coached by also legendary TELÊ SANTANA best known at the time for his Brazilian National Squad of 1982. That NEWELL'S OLD BOYS squad quality is shown by the fact they drew level with what is regarded as one of the best sides in Football history, for that São Paulo side went on to beat Johan Cruyff's Dream Team of Barcelona in 1992 in the Intercontinental Cup and Fabio Capello's AC MILAN in the following year. Newell's is a small to medium size club in Argentina while São Paulo is The BEST team in Brazilian football history. So his feat couldn't be any bigger as far as South American football goes. It would be the same as losing the CL Final to Real Madrid on penalties coaching West Ham United.

As a Leeds supporter of many years I have to say I don't agree that Marcelo is the best manager in the world, He is however the most competent manager we have had for a long time and I do believe we are fortunate to retain his services as he has made great improvements in our squad since his arrival at Elland Road.

No I'm not. I follow Bielsa and just finished watching Take us home, Leeds United on Amazon Prime. My comment is based on what he does on every team he coaches, when the players have no pressure, he can get the best out of them.

I'm gutted that if Leeds do go up then Bielsa, the players and the fans won't get to celebrate together. If we ended up winning the league at home the atmosphere would of been absolutely unbelievable. What a shame it won't happen with the fans 😢

I have always Hated Leeds! looking back as a Man City season ticket holder for over 50 years i am trying to rationalise why? Its because Dons Rs team always gave us more than a hard time! and we were bloody good only they were much better! Dirty? not really just very talented! This leeds side try to play like we do and will be a welcome addition to the premier league! The Lovely Jack Charlton will be smiling! Well deserved promotion! CTID.

@Undoctrinated This is very interesting. I started watching football in 2003. But I would only watch La Liga and Champions League. Then started watching the Premier League in 2011. And I didn't even know Leeds United existed until Bielsa took charge! They must have been very forgettable. I predict kids in 30 years will know about Bielsa's Leeds United. It is the special, good-to-watch teams that are remembered in history.

Marcelo Bielsa changed the Mentality at Leeds which was the most difficult thing to do. Because he hasn't won Trophies he probably doesn't get the adulation he deserves.

There's a lot of similarities between Bielsa and Klopp in which both are really charismatic manager who are really good at man management. Hopefully he will get the same support from the club owners to continue building on the project foundations which has led to Leeds promotion. The next step for Bielsa would likely be stabilizing Leeds position in the BPL and if possible a complete for a Europa place from either league or cup competitions. Honestly other then the covid situation, it is a good time to watch BPL with all the world class managers gathering there.
