@@s13rr4buf3 I imagine most Israelis are on the verge of tears. They didn’t start this war, they don’t want wars, they value their sons and daughters and every loss of one of them is too much. None of the Israeli soldiers fights with the thought that if they die they will be rewarded with 72 virgins for the boys and, probably, a dishwasher for the girls. It must be very hard to fight an enemy that doesn’t value the lives of their citizens. If the Israeli soldiers accepted that Hamas and their supporters love death then they might not feel so bad about having to kill them in order for Israelis to live. Give them what they want sounds callous but Hamas does not fight fairly. (I suppose the thought of fighting fairly has no place in a real war anyway. It’s not like a sport.)

As a child I guess I was privileged/ blessed/ honoured/woken up, I can't think of an appropriate word, by having met several survivors of the Holcaust. 2 were parents of my best friend at school, the other 3 were colleagues of my Dad. Yes, Jewish people have traditionally voted for "left" parties because they think they are the most compassionate parties, and have more of a social conscience. But times have changed, and the Democrats are now infiltrated by far-left activists, who are totally intolerant. DNA tests show no link of current refuges to natives of the area. They are simply sematic people. Just a few points that stuck out to me, and my own personal thoughts: - The generations aged (18-24) and younger, I would add), I personally believe, are at a great majority too far gone. What constitutes an education these days is polluting young minds and sadly there's greater focus on the jobs at the end of a degree than there is about what these kids are actually learning. You can defund the social studies departments and some companies may choose to not offer them the employment they desire, but unless those liberal minded wake up at what this is doing to their kids as well, I don't think there will be much change or hope for the younger people coming after them. The education system needs reform in the western world. That's my personal opinion. - In regards to the election campaigns and current focus. I see this here in Canada as well. People are primarily focused on what goes on in their own day to day and that is what conservative leaders, hoping to get elected, are trying to focus on. It makes sense! The USA is Israel's strongest and pretty much only ally right now, however, and elections in the US are a year away. A lot can happen in a year 😔! Let's hope the USA stay strong in their conviction that Israel has the right to continue this war until the threat is eliminated and ALL the hostages are returned. Just some of my thoughts as a non-Jew that has no stake in this. I will continue to pray for Israel ❤
