Agree! i hope that does change, since this case happened - Just saying you suffered abuse (man or woman), does not prove anything. Amber did not damage women in abuse situations - The truth matters, and that's what this case proves - it does not deter women from reporting abuse, in fact, it no doubt opens the door to show and empower both men and women - Tell the truth, and it will prevail

I feel like people are totally misremembering this... Many people believed Johnny right from the start, people didn't just drop him instantly at all. It was only when he lost the libel lawsuit in the UK because the courts found Heard's accusations to be "substantially true" that he was dropped from Fantastic Beasts. She originally accused him of domestic abuse in 2016, the Sun ran the article in 2018 and he was only dropped in 2020. That is far from believing her without question.

In this trial, Johnny was able to fight back. He brought a patient demeanor as he finally opened up about who was hitting who. Amber should have let it go after he promptly paid the 7 million dollars in the divorce suit. But, no, a year after she had been paid, she writes an op-ed declaring herself a victim of domestic abuse, and he by implication an abuser. This was on the eve of a movie in which she was the love interest, and the article certainly drew attention to her. In time to promote herself beyond merely being the girl in the movie: she was the girl deserving sympathy as the punching bag of a powerful man and who was now declaring herself a leader for abused women.

Amber was lynched by social media. It had to have influenced the Jurors. There's an old rule : " Men side with each other. Women backstab each other". And boy did it apply here !!! What was Amber thinking anyway ??? You don't go after a Hollywood Icon. As for Johnny Depp he came across as greedy, vindictive and petty. The Guy has a $200 millions net worth and he's going after a girl with a 12 million net worth. Jeez how low can you stoop ??? His ego was hurt ??? Really ??? Materialistic, merciless, narcissitic...Jimmy is miles away from his acting persona. This trial did way more to damage his reputation than Amber's accusations. Amber, touching and naive, is like that Spanish Character, Don Quixote, underestimating his opponents and engaging in fights way above her strength.

Note: Not one single DV advocate group has spoken out in her defense, nor did anyone from any DV group attend the trial to support her. My guess is that all of these groups will drop her like a hot potato and stay as far away from her as they possibly can. What AH doesn't see is that she actually caused more harm to real DV victims because even more so than before, their allegations will be scrutinized due to AH's false allegations and blantant lies. Her terrible acting was on full display through her unnatural acting performance on the stand that sunk her ship. I believe it is because she does not relate to, nor does she understand normal human behavior and therefore cannot emulate it effectively.

I hear your point BUT to paint Depp as angelic is wrong. Raquel confirmed she shoved heard first and her ex denies it. Depp is also up for assault towards a coworker. The things can't be used to say what their relationship was like. Even a juror has said they thought it was bidirectional abuse. Yes she has lied but Depp has also lied and we can't weigh that on scales of justice only that they're both not great. She shouldn't have done the tro and I don't know why she did it..... to get in there first maybe. She Def. Shouldn't have done the op ed. However if a juror thinks it was bidirectional then the outcome of the case was incorrect... it would be that neither proved their case and both defamed each other ✌

Geez she's still defaming him. She's behaving exactly as Dr Curry said she would. He should make her pay and give it to charities or she'll continue to defame him (or other men) until she faces consequences. I’m sick of everyone trying to make the argument, “they were both abusive.” Amber’s only been caught lying everything. There’s no evidence of abuse from Johnny, just Johnny getting mad & slamming cupboards after finding out $100 million was stolen? He slammed his own furniture, that doesn’t mean he hit her. Even after proving his innocence, ppl will try & spin he was abusive in there somewhere. See why he had to sue for defamation & had to have the court broadcasted?
@usermc1234

They were both toxic for each other. And both had terrible coping mechanisms that not only did not help them cope but led them from bad to worse. When driven/triggered to react, neither one abstained from habits that brought relief, but alienated the other. Johnny took it out on drugs and abused jt heavily for many years, in the privacy of only his home. And Amber took it out on Johnny. It shouldn't be so much of trying pinpoint or spin it to the angle that he's abusive towards her. It's more like, people like them, they get ugly in their respective ways when they don't get things the way they prefer. So in relationship dynamics both did respond and interact with each other badly - running away/ avoiding discussions and then returning to love bomb each other, screaming and lashing out and things and at the other party, where other couples may have chosen to adjust and adapt, negotiated and backed off but return to discuss and agree on a way forward. But at the same time, it is not to be overlooked that on every count, Amber did cross the line.

Exactly. Amber and her lawyers said that people didn't like her because she wasn't the perfect victim, but she wasn't a victim at all and it was Johnny who was the imperfect victim. He had his issues...he was a drug addict, he got mad, cursed, slammed cabinets and drank too much wine. He said nasty things in texts, but at end of the day there was no evidence that he abused Amber Heard and plenty of evidence she abused him.

I think she was actually physically abused, but it was more akin to JD restraining her during her physical outbursts. That's still domestic violence. In my practice, I've dealt with clients who are male and are struck by females who break a nail when striking their boyfriends. The boyfriend is successfully hit with a DV charge. In fact, in my state, throwing a phone of your partner is enough to satisfy a DV charge and make it stick. So I am mystified how the jury didn't find one instance of abuse by JD. That said, the lie about donating money and the photoshopped pics allow juries to justify simplistic thinking. You lie about one thing, you lie about all things. Trials are not about truth. Any lawyer will tell you that.

But taking pictures of your husband sleeping or loaded, or on the floor for all the world to see, that's ok. What about his privacy? Besides, she knows where she needs to go to get money. So that poor me routine is nonsense. America got it right. I'm not even a fan of JD. Never saw 1 jack sparrow movie and only 2 other movies which i saw for free. But what is right is right. Sorry to hear of your abuse, but there is the problem right there that Amber exposed when you said "the woman's movement". Both abuse & false accusations can happen to both genders and it shows a person cares about power, rather than ethical principles If they stand for a gender-first movement instead of ethics. Yes, Adam Waldman is a pretty formidable lawyer and personally took on the job of getting to the bottom of the mechanics of Ambers hoax, the friends she involved,TMZ, her publicist and he tried to describe it just before the police bodycam footage was released so he got some details of when they spread wine/broken picture frames etc around the apartment to indicate a false incident. the inaccuracy of it meant the jury said it was defamatory, I agree that it was factually wrong on minor details BUT I heartily disagree that its defamatory as the Jury upheld the other notion by Depp & his lawyer that it was a planned "Hoax" you can't be defamed for hoaxing.. as a hoaxer, over minor details.. its akin to a murderer asserting defamation of character because reporters initially thought they killed their victim with a porcelain fruit bowl when actually it was a glass punch bowl - the public image is well earned by the perpetrator, the assertions are largely accurate. speculation by the most popular YT lawyers is that a jury member may have been reticent about awarding Depp money & this count was to appease them about Depps lawyer being too aggressive by essentially 'throwing a bone' to Amber while still saying she is an aggressor and a hoax artist.

Whatever abuses she may have suffered, are overwhelmed by the weight of abuse she heaps. I sympathize with whatever abuse she may have suffered. No one deserves abuse. However, I empathize with Johnny. He was dealing with a personality that could, and would never be satisfied. She seemed to enjoy any pain he expressed, while he didn't have a similar reaction to her pain. I don't know about Amber, but my ex turned out to be a physical and emotional sadist. I completely sympathize with you. I've had one for DECADES. But, I didn't hear any abuse by Johnny Depp, nor did any of his previous partners siggest abuse, nor was a modicum of evidence supplied by AH proving abuse. She didn't even accuse him of hitting her on her own tapes, much less committing sexual abuse. DV and SA is not something you pick up in your 50s and reactive abuse is attributed to the abuser not the one reacting. It seems like the only reason anyone capitulates to any part of her claim is because she refuses to admit that she lied. Narcissists lie 'til they die. He never abused her, he just let the wrong one in.

However, I also think it’s extremely offensive to falsely accuse a person of wrongdoing. If Amber was indeed a victim of DV, then she undermined her own abuse by her inconsistencies and lies on the stand, she should have just told the truth. She had a chance to tell her story and because she wasn’t believed she is saying that this was a setback for women. I completely disagree, her claims of DV were taken very seriously, but the evidence did not match what she was saying. Unfortunately, this interview did not bring anything that we didn’t already know, she doubled down on her claims, and did not own any responsibility again. Furthermore, she said that she still loves Johnny! I am so puzzled by this statement. If anyone reading this wants to offer some insight, please do so. It became clear to me very quickly that this was just another acting role for Ms. Heard and I was deeply offended by her arrogance, particularly as it pertained to assuming she could say the most obviously false things and everyone else would simply believe her because she's so smart and we're so stupid. As someone who has been struck in the face "too many times to count" I was appalled by her assertion that she could show up the next day or even the next week looking perfect because of makeup and ice. She made me feel ashamed of my injuries and inability to smile without showing pain or cover up swelling. Even though I knew she was lying, she made me feel weak and deficient. After listening to the audio tapes and all of the evidence, I can never agree that Johnny was ever abusive to her. He loved her, and when listening to the tapes one hears here over the top verbal, psychological and emotional abuse of Johnny Depp. He was always calm and trying to talk to her in attempt to keep her escalation down. The only time he would yell and verbally abuse her is when she started to strike out at him. He would usually spout off and then retreat to a bathroom to keep them both safe. She claims that Johnny retreating to the bathroom was abusive to her. I have also heard the whole tape of the Australian incident in which Johnny's finger tip was severed off, the whole tape was not allowed as Johnny's assistant, who is heard trying to talk Amber down and how to get her back to LA and also the evidence they were finding, has passed away and of course couldn't testify to what he saw. I agree, having experienced someone quite similar, it's the tapes of continued verbal, psychological and emotional abuse which are so familiar to me. Interestingly, the way that Amber plays out these scenarios with the police, media are also a similar pattern, Johnny was very fortunate she was not so successful with those. Again, Johnny is in the relatively rare position of being able to afford to confront her and the institutions who have supported her. There is no way an ordinary individual could do this, apart from the cost, most people would be emotional wrecks, reputations and careers destroyed. I wasn't aware of the reason for the lack of scrutiny of the severing of Johnny's finger tip. In terms of how this plays out longer term, I think Amber's opportunities to address her lies, mental illnesses, disorders are all dwindling. From my experience, she is most likely to remain in this twlight zone. Given the extreme and hugely public nature of her behaviour, I think she will be severely affected by in the medium term, and it will be very difficult to recover. Additionally, the Media coverage, such as this interview, is feeding off her illnesses and making it worse.

I wouldn't be surprised if Depp's attorneys filed a motion to cease and desist and the judge granted him an injunction. Maybe a few nights in jail for contempt would shut her up. The trial WAS unfair, just not the way SHE thought it was. She didn't deserve a cent. JD didn't do anything to her, his attorney did, and regardless of what he said, it had ZERO impact on her career. JD on the other hand lost 2 movie roles from her lies, just ONE of which was worth $50 million. So he got screwed because SOME on the jury wanted to be "fair" and give AH a little money and not be too mean to her even though she deserved to get hit with at least a $60 million settlement. Although initially it sounds like Dr Grande was refuting what Amber Heard was saying in the interview, he actually seemed determined to find some way to allow her to keep playing the role of victim. He appeared to be excusing many of the horrible things she did to Johnny Depp, by asserting she was just responding to his behavior. While no one is saying that Johnny Depp committed no wrongs in the relationship, the overwhelming evidence indicated that Heard was the perpetrator of the abuse. Yet Dr Grande tries to claim that her aggression was really just her response to being afraid. I don't know if it's because Amber Heard is a woman or because she's attractive that keeps Dr G from admitting that she is very much an abuser. If the situation was reversed, and the evidence pointed to Johnny Depp as one committed the abuse, I don't believe Dr Grande would've allowed him all the excuses that he was using for Heard.

I can’t figure out if the Doc has a thing about addicts (he seems to think that being an addict means you have to be guilty of everything someone accused you of) or if he’s sexist (can’t believe a mere woman is capable of such destruction) or is it that he’s just what we British call ‘c*ntstruck’ by her beauty and charisma. I would not blame him if it’s the last. It’s her trademark. I would say all of her relationships rely upon that charisma to start with. ‘Come into my parlour’ says the spider to the fly… That’s why she had no friends in court except her poor sister. There was only one text that possibly proved he hurt her, and that was that he kicked her on an airplane (apparently shoved her with his foot down the aisle), but even then, she embellished it and added so much to that moment that she only incriminated herself more. You could see the anger on her face after leaving the courthouse after the verdict, which showed right then and there her true feelings and that she had learned nothing. Another thing she apparently lacks is the ability to consider consequences for her behavior or to accept consequences when she experiences them, as she continues to try to lie her way out of the consequences of her lying, pushing the public she wants so badly even further away. Maybe this is because Amber knows she always gets away with things and breaking the law due to her appearance and celebrity. She has no intention to pay any fines. All her money is going towards her PR blitz of the same lies. What she really needs is to go to jail for repeated perjury before she files an appeal and wastes more tax payer resources. But maybe bad attention is better than no attention for Amber. Maybe the worst thing that can happen to her is that everyone just ignore her and forget she ever existed, forcing her to live like most of us, in relative obscurity.

People like this always end up exposing themselves. I know from personal experience. Went through three years of hell with an emotional leech of a partner, and they weren't very happy when they crossed my final red line in the sand and got dumped. Embarked on a campaign to isolate me from my friends and demonise me so that I wouldn't get freelance work any more. Refused to take responsibility, was totally convinced that they were the victim of emotional abuse and that I deserved it. Started leaking emails and chat logs after I asked them to stop. Didn't stop when I tried to take my own life. I was made to feel utterly worthless and for a while I genuinely believed I was an irredeemable abuser. But then everybody slowly came crawling back over the following months to apologise for me: my ex had been lying about their financial situation to get donations, and was spending them all not on utilities or rent, but on - get this - porn and videogames. When it emerged that they had been doing this they dug the hole deeper and again played the victim, except this time it didn't work. They didn't seem to comprehend why lying like this was wrong and why people were angry. As usual it was blamed on me as if I'm some kind of master manipulator super villain. No apologies given or responsibility taken. Permanent manchild for all eternity. I see a lot of parallels with Amber Heard. These people simply operate on another plane of reality to the rest of us. You can never understand or trust people like Amber Heard or my ex. They do not play by the rules and the worst part is that half the time they don't even realise why that's wrong, and they certainly NEVER care.

Recordings like the "I don't punch you I hit you" tape show that she's more or less aware of what she does even in a fit of rage, she just refuses to take responsibility for her actions and opts to gaslight and victim-blame. Dr. Grande, I wish you watched the entire trial and listened to all the other audios that are out there. It is ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that SHE WAS the verbal and physical aggressor. Because of her diagnoses, when Johnny would retreat to avoid her outbursts, she perceived him leaving as a slight…as abandonment. I do not believe a woman or a man suffering from domestic violence so severe that they are in fear of their lives would gift their abuser with a huge knife engraved with something like till death do us part. I don't believe anyone is ever going to convince Amber Heard that she should sit down and hush and maybe this too should pass. I also believe Johnny Depp that he was the victim of the physical abuse. I feel like in the end Amber's claims were just unbelievable like insisting on the sexual assault with a bottle that was possibly broken and doesn't immediately go to the hospital. I feel like in the end Amber Heard claims just did not make common sense.
@MarceAle
@MarceAle 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Even if there's any truth to her claims, there's just too many inconsistencies between her testimony of her claims, the evidence she presented for them and the actions she took at the time. Her claim about the assault with the bottle, for example, should've resulted in her sustaining horrible injuries and yet, there's no medical records or pictures of that incident, yet, she took pictures of events and injuries that seemed very minor by comparison (not to mention, there's elements to believe that evidence was fabricated). Johnny Depp may truly not be the perfect victim, but she was lying through and through, imo, I believe her to be the sole perpetrator.

Mutual abuse is a term is couple‘s therapy and is in fact one of the most common types of domestic abuse there is. I think one must be careful not to use the term to minimize the abuse suffered by one party, but in this case I think they were mutually abusive towards each other. That does not mean that Amber Heard did not defame Johnny Depp; she lied about SA, and instances of physical assault. Johnny Depp was emotionally abusive to Amber Heard- he called her names and insulted her. It is literally on tape and he admitted to some pretty ugly text messages (to friends about Heard) in court. His admittance of these things was key to his case. Amber Heard was physically, physiologically, and emotionally abusive to Johnny Depp-again she admits to hitting him on on an audio tape, whilst gaslighting him by minimizing the harm she did to him. They were mutually abusive, even if the harm was not equal.

Dr. Grande- From reading into what you've said on this case, it seems like you believe that AH and JD are both responsible. I watched a lot of the case, not because I give a rat's ass about either actor - rather I was interested in how the dynamics of abuse would play out. Many who have experienced IPV, like me, took special interest in the case because of these features. I've seen a few other mental health clinicians on YT try to do a deep dive on this (with very few providing even satisfactory analysis), and it seems an overwhelming majority of legal and mental health practitioners have come out to say that AH was the instigator of the abuse. Personally, I feel strongly, based on what I've seen of the case, I believe AH IS the abuser. I found Dr. Curry very credible and her diagnoses to be spot on. I would love to hear YOUR thoughts on this as a clinician and a deep dive into how you read both parties and see their respective responsibility in this dispute.

I’m sure anyone who’s endured similar experiences in relationships could sense the dynamic between JD & AH and understand just how much JD suffered at the hands of this abusive narc. Her narcissism is the reason why AH (being so blind to her behaviour and her negative traits, and so quick to blame everyone else) will never be able to comprehend why it is we don’t support her stories, why she lost the court case, why we all see right thru her lies. This seems to have been a really toxic relationship - from both sides. @Karicat Watts. Spot on. Johnny was pushed to breaking point, like most victims of narcissistic abuse. He was never an instigator or an abuser - at most a reactor, e.g. the cupboards video. The evidence in VA was overwhelming and, in the UK case, the judge basically dismissed the recordings and the police evidence, and found in favour of the Sun based solely on Amber's evidence. UK judge found that she was credible as she had paid 7 MIL to charity and was not a gold digger. The UK judgment was a miscarriage of justice, and 6 weeks of detailed scrutiny and cross-examination in VA debunked all the flaws of that wrongful decision. Thankfully, the VA trial was televised, so the whole world can see the truth.

Both the case in the UK and in the US were NOT criminal cases, they were defamation; because of Amber's allegation about being SA and DV people focused on that element. No one within the judicial system both in the UK and the US have declared either of them guilty of abuse. In the UK Amber was not the defendant, their only job was to prove that the evidence they based their article on was believable; all they needed was sources that were in their opinion credible enough for The Sun (tabloid) not if Amber Heard herself was credible enough that would have to be separate. So the UK ruing basically says that The Sun had a legit reason for publishing their tabloid headline about him being abusive because the Washington Post article which we now know was aided by the attorneys from the ACLU...which I guess to the British judge saw it as sufficient. Personally, I find the ties the judge had with people connected to Amber very suspicious...Now, what makes the US defamation case MORE thorough is because Amber is the defendant. The burden to show she is telling the truth falls on her more than Depp since she is the defendant. Therefore the evidence submitted in the US is 10x more substantial (a lot) than in the UK trial. What makes this US case against Heard so vital and more important than the UK is that a jury found that not only is Amber's evidence insufficient and her story not as credible but that she did it out of malice.

I really don't understand your views on this case. Are we always to assume that if you are in an abusive relationship that both parties are terrible to each other? This seems to be your argument throughout this case. They had their case in court and the jury found no evidence that Johnny Depp hit or mistreated Amber Heard. Johnny Depp was only found guilty of his lawyer saying something that was untrue. It would be much more interesting to use this as a case study to show to what length a narcissist would go to protect their image of themselves. Dr. Grande makes a few KZbin videos every day, so I don't think he was able to make a fair assessment of the trial compared to someone who watched weeks of it like I chose to. It was a long drawn out display of evidence against Amber and when she was able to present her case it was weeks more of evidence, but as you say none of which proved Johnny ever laid a hand on her. You're totally correct that Dr. Grande is not accurate in his analysis, in my opinion due to him only skimming the evidence that the mainstream media presented to the public. This wasn't the type of case that can be understood by simply giving a cursory review of the evidence.

Let's take note that a juror did an interview. They didn't believe Johnny hit Amber. Just like most of the world. You need to understand: if you are constantly taunting and berating someone they will eventually say things back. It's how everybody works. If that makes Johnny and abuser, then every single person in the world is an abuser. Amber was always recording everybody in her life. If he had actually physically assaulted her then she would actually have evidence. If he had assaulted her like she claimed in Austrailia, she would have had to go to the hospital. She would have had marks in the photoshoot she took soon after. She used at least two pictures multiple times in the trial and called her make up kit a bruise kit, which is what they use to MAKE BRUISES. The bruise kit is also in the ice cream picture at rhe bottom. People found someone using that exacts same kit and it's called bruises and abrasions. The austrailia aftermath recording wasn't allowed in the trial because other voices were on it. She is screaming, crying, and apologizing as he's leaving and they are looking for his fingertip. The two on the tape are trying to figure out who to send to take her back to the US because they didn't want to send someone she could manipulate. She was uninjured and hysterical because she thought she really lost him "that time".

But, while she may have successfully provoked JD info reacting (and to that extent she may be correct that he is surrounded by a phalanx of highly paid erasers / enablers), it was clear that she was a practiced instigator, her DVRO was tactical not protective (leaked to TMZ to humiliate Depp) & the ACLU op ed was also tactical, based at least in part on prior fakery, & timed to humiliate Depp while she rose. I think she enjoyed fights because, first, she got the testosterone hit from being aggressive and, later, she got the dopamine hit from self pity being a victim.

Saying mean things to your abuser after years of one-sided fights can hardly be considered "mutual abuse" if you ask me. I think Amber's decision to depict herself as a perfect, fawless saint and martyr on the stand was her extreme narcissism shining through. It ties in directly to her inability to take responsibility. Even when asked about it explicitly in the interview, the only thing Heard will admit to without qualifications is bad language. That's it. Dr. Grande, is there some specific data point that makes you believe Heard was NOT the initiator of abuse/The Abuser in the relationship (vs mutual abuse or Heard as purely reactive)? This case is such an important opportunity for male victims of female perpetrator violence to finally be recognized, and I cringe at how they must feel when it seems no amount of evidence is enough to be believed. 1) Depp has no prior history of IPV, was emotionally and physically abused by his mother growing up (possible lowered defenses against another female perpetrator), and appears hardwired to appease and retreat in the audio of his interactions with Heard. 2) In contrast, Heard has a significant prior history of IPV (see below), was abused as a child but emphatically REJECTS identifying as a victim (some abuse victims identify with/emulate their abuser), and seems to dominate, demean, and physically aggress in the same way abusers do. Heard's IPV history is extensive. She: - admitted in audio to hitting Depp and deflected responsibility, minimized the abuse, [EDIT: refused to commit to not doing it again,] and called him a "baby" for complaining about it (classic Abuser playbook) - [EDITED:] spent a night in jail for physical aggression against her former partner in public in an airport in front of witnesses (volatile, poor self control, baseline belief that physical aggression is okay?) - [EDITED:] participated in a mutual physical altercation with her friend Raquel after expressing anger at Raquel for overlooking some housewares they'd been searching for (per Raquel, she pushed Heard, then Heard hit her in the cheek), - allegedly hit her sister Whitney multiple times per the sworn declaration of Whitney's friend Jennifer Howell (with further corroboration via the reality TV show clip). It just makes me wonder what will ever be enough to clear Depp's name, and by extension, when will all the male victims of female abuse who are currently trapped in silence finally be able to get the belief and support they deserve.

No, she was the aggressor. She admitted it on recordings. Johnny was the victim, period. He was verbally abusive yes , after the exasperation he suffered! That’s why it’s pointless to stay or engage with these abusers. She was the victim of $500 bottles of wine , friends and family living for free at his penthouses and paid vacations and trips by Johnny. She’s not afraid she will be sued again. She is continuing to defame Johnny and it has to stop!

I've heard every recording of their fights made public and I heard no real "abuse" from Depp aside from some reactive name calling whilst being hammered by her. He was obviously going through other issues and threw an unbecoming tandrum or two, and the juvenile back and forth was definitely not putting his best foot forward, but that was about 5% of what I heard. Never once did she mention anything about him hitting her. She tried once but failed. They were discussing one of the many times she was flailing on him, this time on a plane. She said "You were doing it too." and he promptly corrected her with "What??? I pushed you.", then she got real quiet... for about two seconds.

This is completely false. Johnny was completely abusive to amber heard in his drunk recordings. Forcing her to watch him cut himself, throwing things and banging things and some how blaming her for him wanting to do that. That is abuse. It was so triggering to me. Anyone that doesn't think both of them were abusive to each other is normalizing abuse and it's not ok.

The issue is that intimidating behavior such as slamming cabinets or verbal abuse isn’t what Amber was alleging in the op-ed. She was accusing Johnny of pummeling her multiple times in the face and sexually assaulting her with a broken bottle. There was no evidence whatsoever to back up these latter claims.

I'd like to share with all of us who have been following the case the following curiosities : - Amber Heard tale about babies in microwaves was also discussed in Season 1 of True Detective. - Amber's bottle grape story was curiously enough used in the movie Gone Girl, which I suspect quite heavily inspired our pathological narcissistic liar.. - She used the "A few good men" quote about the truth on the stand.. She seems to takr a lot of her ideas from popular movies and tv shows.. As an actress it's highly probable she's an avid film enthusiast.. If you've seen other steals from shows in the trial, please share them, Im sure there are more..

Your analysis of Amber Heard sounds spot on. She does not represent me nor is she my voice. She’s never going to admit responsibility so it’s better she just disappears into the background and takes this time to be with her daughter. One can only hope she finds a therapist and gets the treatment she needs. Great video. Thank you Dr Grande.

Once again: They didn’t “abuse each other.” Only Amber physically abused Johnny, and the trial demonstrated that clearly. (Additionally, there are recordings available that show in excruciating detail that she assaulted him, and lied about many things.) The trial was fair. By buying into the narrative that it wasn’t you are impugning the judge and the jury. Please stop that.

I really find his takes on this case quit appalling but if you look back at his history of videos on women he finds attractive such as Jodi Arias, Elizabeth Holmes, Cassie Anthony, Karla Hamolka, he cannot resist the inner simp coming out and offer some non-sinister mitigating excuse for their behaviour to slip in. The evidence of Amber Heard's long-term history of violence (even independent of Johnny) is overwhelming and indisputable. Multiple people testified to witnessing or experiencing her violent rage towards friends, family and sexual partners; yet Dr. Grande insists on insinuating that Johnny was the unique sandpaper to her match. Victim Blaming 101.

Exactly. It’s really aggravating that mental health professionals who haven’t seen the whole trial are so casually certain that Johnny abused Amber. (Grande isn’t the only one). Seven duly chosen and sworn jury members sat through all the testimony and evidence and concluded Johnny did not abuse her, but KZbinrs with a psych degree know better because reasons….

@@kitkatbar996 I genuinely believe there is a personal 'sexual frustration' factor in his assessments of this. As I stated above Ive noticed that in his videos of Casey Anthony, Jodi Arias, Karla Hamolka, Meghan Markle, and Elizabeth Holmes he leaves some room for 'diminished' responsibility in ways that he doesn't for men or elderly women that he is not attracted to. He's like a man whose friend shows him a video of his wife in a gangbang and he insists "there must be some reasonable explanation for this. She loves me too much."

@@valhallaw Bang on. I'm truly shocked by some people's takes...Jonathan Decker (mended light channel) did a video before the trial was even over, basically saying they both should have walked away from the heated arguments. That statement alone is proof that he did not evaluate nearly enough evidence before his assessment. I respect Decker VERY much and enjoy his content. I think he's a wonderful person and a great therapist. But the comments on that video are horrifying to me. So much misinformation and minimizing or even justifying her behavior. Those of us who listened to the full recordings know that Johnny tried to leave and did leave countless times. He consistently had to beg her for ONE minute to cool down and take some space from each other so they could resolve things calmly. She was relentless.
