Agree, hearsay objections tough. Amber tried to claim previously saying stuff but that's hearsay she could be making it up now, like "I told a dozen people at taco bell Depp hit me, so I told lots". Not calling a witness can be pointed out to jury when it seems one could, so her not calling her parents or anyone who beside herself she says saw stuff is proof against her... Amber had friends and manager if stuff happened man would they be told and intervene, it's like a billionaire claiming abuse and then taking it passively that's so unlikely, or if the Queen claimed abuse when she'd sick her troops and lawyers on anyone threatening the queen , , , , only a bizarre actress would take abuse and not ask agent to push back for her this ain't 1950s Chicago this is LA. ha.

As a woman who suffered from domestic violence and had to stand in a courtroom being grilled both by lawyers and judge, I am just outraged by this woman. Victims have such a hard time not being shamed, trying to be believed and not get beated to a pulp during trials like they have been during the abuse. Then, someone like her comes along and makes it a zillion times harder and worse for TRUE victims!!! I still remember the ordeal of being on the stand and the tears streaming down my cheeks burning my skin. I rember CHOKING on my words because the knot in my throat was so bad. I remember not being able to hold the stare of those who were attacking me with their questions, making my nightmare ever more vivid. I remember being shamed and ridiculed and accused of wanting to ruin a man years after the "all edged" abuse... And then, I look at AH and I get triggered. I want to reach into the screen and slap her across the face. Tell her that her (bad acting) attempt to pass as a victim is a SHAME to all those who have TRULY suffered (physically, emotionally, psychologically) from abuse. I want to tell her she needs to STOP 🛑 pretending she is a crusader for women's rights by fabricating things. She did so with the op-ed, and she is doing so with her continuous lies. She CANNOT say in court that she has never hit JP when, seconds later she says the opposite. You either did or you did not. And, believe me, when you are defending yourself from ferocious attacks, you don't have time to sit there and notice you are laying down on a filthy rug. You are too busy trying not to die. I want this pathetic farce to be over.... And try to cope with the triggering memories resurfacing of my own abuse every time I hear this "joke of a trial". One last thing. She wants to be left alone and move on with her life but JP won't let her and it is ruining bother her reputation and her career.... Well, poetic justice... Same thing happen to JP when he got canceled and accused of being a wife beater... He still went on to hospitals to meet with sick kids and still donated to charity, whereas she "pledged" the entirety of her divorce settlement but laments financial difficulties as the cause for not giving the money as promised... Can't have the cake and eat it too... *sorry for the endless rant*

@@infinitejest.4994 that’s a pretty lazy answer for someone who wasn’t asked a question. Why even comment

@@Wiikidmicky The easiest way to explain a hearsay objection in a trial is when a statement that has been made "Out of Court" during testimony in court and that person is testifying about another person's statement to get to the truth of the issue/question. So basically if Amber saw a doctor for anything and she is describing what that doctor said about her then that would definitely be an objection, hearsay. Why? Because the doctor would be the only person that could be questioned to give statement to the facts of her visit to him or her. Otherwise, Amber's statement would be as if she was putting words in the doctors mouth. So think of it that way. Whenever a question is asked, think, would that be putting words into another person's mouth? If yes, then you should expect an Hearsay Objection. Now, sometimes you will here that you have a foundation objection along with the hearsay and in this case very simply put is that a sequence of questions must be built like a house. You need to lay the foundation first and then build upon that foundation with subsequent questions so that the jury can understand the point that is being made for the defense or the prosecution, whichever the case may be. If you lack proper foundation then no one will know or understand where you are going with the line of questioning. Sometimes attorneys are given latitude with this and that depends on the judge or many times you will see both sides stepping up to the judge to privately discuss why there is a need for latitude as to foundational voir dire. There are many many rules to questioning witnesses in trials and these rules must be strictly adhered to for several reasons. The most critical of those reasons is to preserve the integrity of fairness and justice as well as to give the jury a clear understanding based on the law so that their job of determining guilt or innocence has clarity. I hope this helps and I haven't confused you.

But after knowing this case and following the hearing, listening to dr curry and the other ugly bad psychologist that give attitude when asked valid Q and she doesn't follow the normal procedure and straight away jump to conclusion that she is the victim and not even evaluate JD , then listening to all the witnesses, knowing about the details regarding her request on 14mil, doesn't give the money to charity as she said on the TV, writing the oped after the divorce, listening to video/audio of the recorded altercation which clearly show she was pushing for them to keep on arguing and keep on pushing asking same dumb Q showing that she is not a victim because normal abuse victim whole heartedly want to run away to avoid Escalation, then while already getting FREE money and FAME and privileges from just marrying JD, then reading her past case with police related to her past partner, also her body gesture, facial expression during the whole hearing, the difference attitude when giving the statement here compare to her past video when she gave her statement in one room, her lawyer team behavior and keep on asking dumb questions, interrupting the witness etc ... that automatically make me hate her and her legal team, to not even want to hear or watch her/her legal team face. "She needs to be canceled" No. This is all that is wrong in the world right now. This "cancel culture". We need as a society to be rational, to stop pretending that only perfect people can survive. Even if the evidences and testimonies shows that she was mostly the abuser, we also know she was in love and that it's not easy to live with an alcoholic which JD is beyond any doubt. The truth, as always, is in the middle, and you never know it exactly. Also, this is a legal issue involving two individuals. That should have no consequences ever on evaluating their performance as actors. Being an actor is a job, you do it well or bad and it is all that matters. Your personal life has nothing to do with it. This "cancel culture" idea is the pit of depravity of modern society, an extremely dangerous thing to let go on to future generations, it is grotesque and stupid.
