I have had my Revlon issue for over 3 years- I love it! The bristles are still perfect and what it used to take 45 minutes to do my hair, it now takes me 7 minutes leaving my hair full, shiny, with a professional blown out finish- I am very pleased with my Revlon-needless to say! I bought mine for $50 and consider it a bargain- I purchased an extra one to be safe and given others as gift- I still think the Revlon did a better job than the Dyson!

I feel like this was a lil unfair only because you used product on the one side which is meant for smoothing an protecting and will give any took good or bad a huge advantage i do feel like the end result pulling them out the dyson looked way smoother and the way was beautiful only the ends looked a lil frizzier vs the side with the product an cheaper took over all i think this needs a redo with product on both sides even tho i do agree 550 is a astronomical amount for the tool but then again u r paying a few extra hundred for the name

Think you should have use heat protection on both sides to be fair. You might just get a better result using heat protection with the dyson air

Can you show the amount of shedding you get because each time I see videos of "natural hair guru" it's like they never shed a single hair and at the end when I try too I'm never sure if the amount of shedding I got is normal or if I'm overmanipulating my hair

Try deeply detangling your hair all the way from the roots to the ends on your wash day. I noticed a huge difference in the amount of hair I shed when I do that and when I don’t. All my favorite natural hair gurus do it as well but I think that a lot of them don’t really show us their shed hair or bad hair days or failed styles so don’t worry about it too much

You shed about 100 hairs a day. If you wash your hair once a week, that's 700 strands. Your scalp can shed more or less depending on you. A small puff of hair to the size of a golf ball (not compressed) is normal for a weeks worth of hair.

I do own the revlon one, but my concern was how hot the dryer got. I was so scared that i was damaging my hair. While watching your video i could see smoke coming out. After drooling on Dyson for about a yr i finally got my beautiful airwrap few weeks ago. I tried it for about 3 or 4 times. I have to admit it was hard to get the hang of it at first but i think i am getting it. I have super straight hair, so being able to keep the curl was my struggle. By the way, it is my first time seeing yr video - u hv a very likeable personality where u make people automatically smile without knowing ❤

I have similar hair to her. I love both. Like she said with the Revlon you get a hair salon blow dry however the damage in the hair is more. My hair looks great after I blow dry with Revlon but the smell of burn hair is not good. I have to use it in the highest setting otherwise won't do anything. And after I wash my hair you can see mY hair went thru a lot. With the Dyson the damage is less. For me it took a little bit longer with the Dyson I think because I'm still getting use to it but I notice Everytime takes me less and less time. With the Dyson what is working for me now is getting bigger sections of hair at the time and it does better than with smaller setcions. Both are good to me. But $550 is a bit price. So that's the only con I found with Dyson.

courteney Me too!! Love those evil pays!!! I used the Revlon for a while because I didn’t want to pay the money for the Dyson but the Revlon gets HOT and is very very heavy and loud. I could get pass that if it didn’t cause hair breakage. I already have the Dyson hair dryer, which works wonderfully but I still have to flat iron my entire head afterwards. I’m thinking with this, I would only need to flat iron the roots. I can’t wait for it to arrive!
