I love how whatever Amber posts, sometimes more than others, she always manages to remind us that at the end of the day it’s your life and you owe it to yourself to take care of yourself no matter what. It’s exam season for me and I’ve just been beating up myself for things that I didn’t do instead of recognizing all the things that I did do. Amber always manages to brighten up my day even when it’s just me by myself in my bedroom.

Ahh this hit me in my feels, I'm a mom of two and stepmom of two and right now my husband is gone for two weeks (he works a government job and is gone two weeks at a time) and it's really hard doing everything on my own. I've been really struggling lately and know I'll be okay but it's hard to remember that in the middle of a meltdown. Thanks Amber for reminding me that I still need to make time for myself so I don't spiral. I'm a mama of three and although my husband isn't gone for extended periods of time I am the homemaker and I can relate. Well to an extent because he comes home every day and helps a lot with the boys. I can't really imagine it being only me for days and days at a time. You are a bona-fide bad ass girl. You do got this. I always try to remind myself after my toddler throws the iPad at my head one to many times in a day to change the app for him to take a deep breath and redirect to a better moment so I don't lose my mind. I try to turn that moment into cuddles and tickles instead of getting annoyed and getting on to him for the millionth time. My baby is non verbal and he doesn't really understand as much as his.peers so it can be difficult to communicate with him. But he's so damn sweet and innocent and he LOVES being my baby 🥺 I know someday I'll miss these days. I hope when your hubby gets back he surprises you with an epic date night. Or gives you some time to get out and have some time alone You deserve it. Hopefully he offers it but either way I hope you take it for yourself. You matter and you deserve some self love and care to fill that cup of.yours that is always pouring for.others ❤️

He's home now and yes he took over for a bit so I could go have some time to myself (in reality I went to the store and got food and actually some cute shoes so that was nice ) he also has helped with making dinner here and there as well. I'm super grateful and lucky to have him but it does get hard during those 2 weeks at a time he's gone, it doesn't help I'm in a new state where I know nobody lol but it'll all get better with time. Thank you again and you sound like a badass mama as well, my son is on the spectrum so I can relate to you with your youngest and it trust he'll always be your baby even at 8 yo like mine lol. We all need good self care days from time to time.
