As a seriously anemic runner, I get the feeling running with iron after being deficient. It feels like this new sort of speed that just appears overnight. Hopefully you can get your iron back to normal quickly!

Frfr. I had low iron for like 4 months and didn’t realize it until the middle of outdoor season so I started getting iron infusions and my 3200 time went from a 13:01 the first indoor race, to a 12:05 at outdoor state a few days ago.

I know you talked about low iron and I really recommend asking your doctor about iron infusions because they’re A LOT faster than taking iron pills and it’s worked wonders for me. Just a suggestion😁

HEYY! So I need some advice… so I sprint in track but I also run distance for cross country… ya I know it’s complicated. So my question was, as soon as my track season ends which is in a week or so, I’m going to start training for highschool XC (as an 8th grader) so I’m going from running a 1.86 3k to a 3.1 5k. I’m really nervous but what I’m most nervous about is going from being a sprinter to a distance runner. I need advice, how would you go about transitioning because I don’t really know what to do. You’re probably so confused but I think you’re an amazing runner and role model and I really look up to you a lot! Ilysmmm😻😻😻😻😻😻 thank you for always being there!

AHHH ur so sweet💜💜 don’t stresss!!! you got this!! i would communicate with your coaches and ask them what they recommend! but building up slowly with mileage/endurance is definitely the way to go. if your used to running shorter distances you want to make sure you slowly build your body up to handle more! although 3k to a 5k shouldn’t be a hard shift💜

This video made me so excited for xc and track season. I quit a month or two into xc last season cause it just felt very toxic and the coaches were being kinda crappy and the seniors that were team captain were just so toxic and not at all what a team captain/leader should be. I’m gonna give it a second chance this year and I’m hoping for the best and that things will be different with those seniors gone. But thank u for this video and I’m so incredibly proud of u amber
