@@nobumino Hey guys don't worry, just study and do your best. Try not to compare yourself to other people, just find colleges you want to go to and aim for that score. Try to get within the 50 percentile of the college, after that they'll be looking at your extracurriculars

If you apply to colleges but you have 4.4gpa, low standardized test scores, yet everything else about your application is spot on like extracurriculars and essays, could you still get in?

It depends on where you want to go, some schools care a lot about test scores, but overall I think if everything else is good, you'll probably get in. If you can tho, try to retake the standardized tests

Congrats on Chapman! During the BA years I was in my town, paying college fees by my own but living at home, so no rent. But I've graduated in March and I've been accepted in June into a good MA 3 hours far from home and I did the same list of pros of moving out or remain at home searching for a job or just lying on the bed complaining my existence, and well I chose to move out and try to get in a sane adulthood. Good luck and remember we are not really alone even if we leave home :3

hey amber,, i really need help. i am going to be a junior this year. my dream college is mcgill university (in canada). currently i have a unweighted gpa of 85 & that is because i nearly failed my freshman year. i’m taking two APs this year. & i take all honors classes that are offered. i plan to go to medical school but i’m afraid that i already damaged my chances of getting into a good school because i didn’t care to apply myself freshmen year. i’m sure you did great in all four years of highschool but i was just wondering if you knew anyone with the same situation who was still accepted in rigorous & elite colleges. this video was super helpful!! thank u💕

I didn't personally know anyone in the same situation but I think you could definitely include some of that into your college essay so that advisors can better understand the change you went through & how/why you decided to really apply yourself!! Grades aren't everything, so if they can see the amount of drive and determination you have, I'm sure it will help you! You can do a lot with extracurriculars to help your application too! Best of luck!! 💗💗💗

They didn’t pay for all of my tuition, my tuition was lowered a decent amount because of aid. It’s a private school so it doesn’t matter whether you’re in/ out of state

also if you have an sat fee waiver u have a certain amount of free score sends to colleges + act/sat with essay is required for certain colleges (for ex if ur planning on going to a UC)

I was first interested in nutrition because going vegan really sparked a lot of passion in my life & it seemed like a responsible career path bc it was kinda related to medicine, but I’ve lost interest in it over the years and truly couldn’t see myself working as a nutritionist. I started to realize that I’ve always been WAY more interested in creative things and felt like I would be missing a huge opportunity if I didn’t change my career path to tv writing/production! I’ve been making videos and sketches since I was a kid and I really only considered nutrition/medicine because I thought it was a safer option even though it would make me less happy. I wish I figured all of this out before I applied to college but I guess it’s better late than never lol!! :))
