@@ComputingSound Yeah - they're latter 60s stuff (some of which I REALLY came to love)! VERY nice... spacey / organic / GREAT job!! Also - alwAys dig it when people do cool stuff with very little/inexpensive gear. Inspiring work, this. :)

I performed live some 2 years ago with a Korg Micro-X and a Korg Monotron Delay, mixed with a small and old 5 track mixer through an old Roland Cube and it sounded fabulous. ;-) When I hear this, it confirms one doesn't need expensive or 'new' gear to have a good time and sound great at the same time. Kudos to you and thanks for sharing! Have a great week, cheers!

Sounds like a neat setup. I really need to get one of those small hardware mixers one day. Thank you!

Thank you. Seeing some of the Volca + Zoom videos gave me the idea. Think the Monotribe works very well with the Zoom MS-70CDR. Really small footprint, but put together alot of sound potential.

What kind of lead do you need from the Monotribe to the Zoom and the Zoom out?
@ComputingSound7 жыл бұрын
I use mono patch cables, the ones one uses with guitar equipment. What do want to connect the Zoom's output with?
@SoundMediaVibes7 жыл бұрын
To a Zoom recorder which has a 3.5mm input jack.
@ComputingSound7 жыл бұрын
Then you would need a Y cable like this www.thomann.de/gb/pro_snake_tpy2015_kpp.htm to connect the pedals output to the recorder and try to turn "plugin power" of in the menu, if your recorder has that.

@ComputingSound8 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! 🙂 Nice! What are you going to get?
@satyanpatel64038 жыл бұрын
For now I really need Chorus, Flange and Delay. I'm thinking a multi pedal from Zoom will be sufficient for me. I was specifically looking at the Zoom G3 as for its reasonable and give me the latter three and a Moog MF 101 pedal emulation. I've played with a Moog, but never owned one, but this would give me the neat option to play with something similar in my own home.
@ComputingSound8 жыл бұрын
Looks like a cool pedal. 👍 It seems to have a lot of the emulations of the MS-70CDR and some more.
@satyanpatel64038 жыл бұрын
Do you need a "Boss Noise Suppressor" on the end or are we lucky on the synth side?
@ComputingSound8 жыл бұрын
With the Zoom MS-70CDR I don't, but that one lacks in-built amp models and regular overdrive/distortion. (it has an in-built noise reduction, but I have rarely used it) The G3 on the other hand features 1 noise reduction and 2 noise gate "effects". So you could use those and I'm pretty sure most other multi-effect units will feature some sort of noise gate as well.

hey thanks for the quick reply. just ordered the Zoom! many thanks. now where are the stereo outs going from the Zoom? to a stereo mixer in or a mono input?
@ComputingSound8 жыл бұрын
Oh wow! Have fun with it! 😉 To get the most out of the pedal (Ping Pong delays, etc.) start out by connecting it to a stereo in and try the different effects and see what you like. For some of the Zoom's effects you will be fine just using a mono in, others need stereo to shine.

Hello Computing.Sound! Please tell me where buy the extra compatible potmeter caps for the Monotribe? (noise, vca, rhythm) Thanks!
@ComputingSound8 жыл бұрын
Think the easiest might be a DIY or even synth DIY site like adafruit.com or thonk.co.uk. Probably you can also get them at a local electronics store or maybe a music store. I got mine from a broken guitar amp, so I'm afraid I can't give a specific part number. You need to search for T18 knobs. Hope that helps. :-)

Well done! Are you using the Monotribe's internal sequencer?

Thank you! Yes, but it's clocked externally, probably from the Korg SQ-1 or modular, to go a bit slower.
