This is a series I've begun just capturing the ambient scenery from Red Dead Redemption by Rockstar Games. In the game, if you are outside and leave the controller alone for approximately 2 minutes, the camera will pull away and observe the world.

Arian Serrano what’s such a shame too is that rockstar is a multi billion dollar company that could easily afford the investment to update Mexico, but they just won’t do it because they focus on making expensive and in my opinion very underwhelming small additions to online, that make a small minority buy shark cards or gold bars, which they cash in on.

Man, Red Dead 2 was awesome but the first game just had this really somber and serious tone to it and I loved that. There was always this feeling of desperation in the game and you just dont get that to the same extent in the sequel. RDR 2 is just overall a much brighter game. RDR 1 is really kind of depressing in a sense. It sucks the life out of you. That’s how you know it’s a good game haha.

@@Krosstic Actually there's a huge stretch of bayou in southeast Texas, but yes, about half the game takes place east of the Rockies. Kind of like menu theme in GTA V and GTA IV, it isnt a singel file either, game mixes it as it goes and it's quite nice. I wonder how they set it up so it makes it sound so good. It cant be purely random
@trainknut
@trainknut 5 жыл бұрын
@@Kacpa2 There's a complex algorithm that takes into account where you are on the map, how far you've progressed in the story, whether or not you're on horseback, and the time of day.. You'll notice in these ambience videos that not only to the background ambience sounds change, but also the music as the time of day changes... the music at night is a lot slower and more contemplative, like John is deep in thought while taking a midnight ride, while the music in the morning is full of upbeat tunes and riffs. Also, it should be noted that, because he recorded these while just standing around in the middle of the desert... even though the ambience doesn't technically have a "soundtrack" - this is about as close to a pure version of the ambience "OST" as you can find, because he's not riding a horse, or near dangerous animals, or anything that might alter the music algorithm.. so the game is just idly playing music without any complex calculations.

Red Dead Redemption Enhanced Edition on PS4 and PC would be amazing. Slightly better visuals and 60 FPS and I would gladly pay another 60€. Also would love if they gave you option to turn player location off on map screen. Maybe even add bonus survival difficulty where you have to hunt, eat, drink and sleep to keep you going. It would be #1 game in history.

I have finally found it..... Thankyou good sir Vercetti :), Uploaded just 2 days after my birthday of 2013, I have been searching literally since release of the game specifically guitar chords @ 6:38, 6:45 , 6:59, 7:14 etc absolutely love the work by the team put together at Rockstar San-Diego, Leeds and North. And to think practically if not 100 percent of all the OST Soundtrack was made from scratch.

I think “atmosphere”is not the problem. I don’t know how old were you when you played the rdr 1 but I was 12 and I was 21 when I played the rdr2. The problem is that we grew up. So it feels different now.

I just hate how RDR2 didn't have those kind of tracks. I love RDR2, but once you finised the story, John doesn't randomly sings when riding slowly like Arthur does and there is just a random sountrack, kinda relaxing in Cumberlan Forest or the Grizzlies but that's pretty much it, when the first game had a much more rememberable wilderness track, made you feel in the Western, not just in the wilderness in any time period, that's where RDR2 failed in my opinion, they created a world, not recreated a time period, kinda weird when RDR2 is set only a few years after the old west but RDR1 has cars and such and feels more like a western than RDR2. Anyway, both great games, exept that RDR2 is more story based than Wilderness exploration and breathing towns like RDR1 was.

@@warningerrorox2oo1ooo65 damn right, amigo. it’s almost saddening that they haven’t released Undead Nightmare 2 yet. At least I’ve got an INKLING of assurance that they’re doing it. I remember back in an on-stage interview with the cast of RDR2, someone asked Roger Clark if they were gonna be doing UN2 and naturally he gave a vague “rockstar answer”. The answer was so vague that one can almost safely assume they’re working on it. It may be a couple years from now, but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.

There's nothing out here for a hundred miles in each direction and that's the way I like it.... if I need to go to town for this and that I have several towns and cities to go to.... these days everytime I go to town it's different and everything is changing buildings and houses with electricity, gas, indoor bathrooms,fans that run on electricity,motorized vehicles,and many other things that will be populating the world as we of this century will know it, I'm way out here with only a few scattered neighbors and they are all leaving their old styled homes for the newer ones that are being built and are leaving these old ones in the past and I have no plans of leaving I'll stay here as long as I can in this ole shack until I can't it's not like I don't have any family I have a couple of kids grown up by now,had a sister haven't heard from in years, an ex wife somewhere and some other relatives but got out of touch with them while living in this rather remote area but we'll see.... this ole shack is a small kitchen and a bedroom,an outhouse out back, an occasional rainstorm,a little cold weather but not that bad and it does get a little hot but there is a lake near here where I can go to cool off in, the nights are better a little cooler but tolerable, I must be imagining things because I think I just saw a big bird fly by and it had what appears to be people inside, that is odd cause I haven't had a drink of liquor in 20 years but I have a feeling that time is changing very quickly and I pray that the old west will still survive way out here,well gotta go inside after seeing what I just saw, good night, take care, stay safe, stay warm and dry and most importantly GOD BLESS and Thanks.
