So mine shows the real temp outside, the problem must be with the interior temp sensor with the little fan..my ac only blows cold on low, every other setting heating it is...

Where did you buy that sensor from? Should it be an alfa romeo specific sensor?

I've got a 2011 ford focus. mk3. The temp outside was reading -4c when it was 11c. Today I got someone to connect a diag device or whatever you call them, and the temp started reading correctly. Now when I've gone back in the car, the temp has dropped down again showing 5c when its 14c. Is this going to be a sensor or computer fault?

So resetting with the diagnostic device sorted it, and you haven't replaced the sensor? Assuming it's as easy as on my car, and the part is as inexpensive, change it just to dismiss that as the problem

😂 alfa electrics. I would say check the wiring loom in the door hinge, but if replacing it fixes the problem straight away, maybe unlucky with the diode mate. Can't really help other than with this video 😂

Hi mate, asked a sparky after doing the video. Should've done it before but yeah haha because the sensor is a resistor, it doesn't mater it can go either way

Hi bro have my sensor delivered. Covers off and indicator, just working round the mirror atm. Finding it tricky to remove. I wonder aswell.. do you need to disconnect the battery aswell before cutting the old one out, or just make sure ignition is off.. tia

I didn't bother. When I looked at the gauge of the cables, I didn't give it a second thought. But feel free to disconnect it for your peace of mind mate. I don't want you complaining that i gave you false advice 😂

The aircon has stopped on my 500x although the temp is reading..my question is if it is an incorrect reading ie 16° in 3 others cars but 21° in mine would this stop the aircon from working?

This is common with the giuliettas, not sure about yours. For the price of it, I'd try this first, even before a regas

Can you not just use a chocolate box to connect rather than soldering lol

Yeah, anything water tight mate. Crimp fittings with the heat shrink pre applied, whatever you want. I just wanted to get the solder out haha

If it fixed the problem when you changed it, double check your crimp/solder connections?

check the connections in the door hinge - they're worn where the ziptie holds them - cut that thing off and fix the wiring.

Same for me lol. I changed the sensor, was not easy. Worked for a day then same problem. It says -30 C degrees when it is +40 C outside. I would not care but the aircondition doesn't work probably because of this.

@@leecasper6657 AC is involved only to the degree of temperature being close to the freeze (it does not simply engage then) Did you check the door hinge harness? Unless you got a used sensor, problem's in a different place. EDIT: dismiss, the second part - I thought it was a Volvo... lol
