Never wear gloves when working with rotating equipment (polisher in this case). It can grab the glove and take you hang with it, or a finger or two.
@AndyFromm3 жыл бұрын
I had a ex co worker stick his hand wearing a leather glove in a hydraulic powered rotating piece of equipment. His glove caught and twisted his hand up into the equipment before stopping it. luckily it was a high speed low torque motor and only busted a bunch of bones. Not that this matters to the glove thing but he also pulled out infront of a train totalling out a new company truck with like 50 miles on it.

All ways had a place in my heart for Javelins. when I turned 16 my dad and I went shopping for a car for myself. 1977 I wanted Chevelle, Camaro, Mustang like my friends had. dad pointed out a Javelin in the Dayton daily news. What's a Javelin? he said it's a car from AMC similar to his 67 Marlin. I wanted to die. So we went out to check out the Javelin 1970 360 auto. We waited at the guys house until his daughter came home with the car. Wow I was impressed. bright orange with a black C stripe down the side. 900.00 bucks and a good test drive and it was mine. My Dad drove it home while I followed in my Dads company car a 76 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Oh Supreme. I couldn't take my eyes off the Javelin while following. Now my dad was as conservative as Dads can get, and as I was changing his radio station from IF i WERE A RICH MAN to ROUND ABOUT He floored the Javelin and left me in tire smoke. I was hooked on AMC for the rest of my life till this day. I've built many a AMC/Rambler even drove my 72 Javelin/AMX on Daytona speedway for the 30th AMX anniversary in 1998. rate now I'm in the rebuilding stage of a 1959 Rambler American 2dr Station Wagon and just two weeks ago found a long forgotten 1970 AMX 390 4 speed car sitting under an old Oak tree for the past 20 years before that it was sitting in the guys garage since last driven in 1977. Its sad shape and looks like a 200k car but only has 64k original. bought from original owner that got it at Viti Brothers motors in Rhode Island. Good luck with your project guys. mine is just beginning.

Camera showed some trash in the paint on the hood but I'm sure that's another day. The extra steps of blowing out the hidden dirt, and sealing the jams are awesome tips. Tbh this build in general has been... Half-baked at best. The ghost stripes imo aren't befitting of the body, they didn't do any cleanup of the underside of the car, impressed with the power they got out of the 304 for what mods they did to it but could've modded a 360 for an easy 500+, wheel poke and tuck may be stylish for the era but looks a little overboard in each aspect for a worthwhile build. My favorite javelins have always been the ones built for track racing. Stockhill Racing in Australia's got a mean one they're putting together, along with classics like penske and Donahue. My all time has to be a 68(?, Could've been a 69) javelin in some European league known as "the beast" had cambered wheels under some beastly molded fenders. Mix that with the gen1 javelin looks and that mako-shark face that the amx's made iconic and she's a mean mf-er

In my opinion I’m tired of seeing over restored muscle cars at every car show and this is what I’d like to see as the next trend in muscle cars. Maybe call it “Day Two Cars “ . Back in the day no self respecting muscle car owner left the factory wheels on for long ,and they were usually swapped out for Cragars , Keystones or aluminum slots ,big in the back and skinny up front , add the slipper bars and air shocks , headers and an aftermarket intake and you were ready to go . This is what would really represent the cars and owners of the muscle car era ,not over restored trailer queens .
