Out of my budget for console gaming/handheld gaming on the go, hopefully Anbernic can release a cheaper device for 3DS emulation.

The Aya Neo DS is hard to acquire b/c production is a cluster mess over at that place & you won’t find many on the secondary market. The 16 gig version chews RAM which is prolly why it has that RAM usage metered featured so prominently. You can’t run anything more than what you are actually using at any given time . But, the true value is that you can game on either screen tbh & the 2nd screen looks damn good b/c of how compacted it is. You can stream video on the other screen. Which means you can run KZbin tv or Fubu tv. You can stream a football game or something while gaming at the same time or split the browser & stream two football or basketball games, one on each screen, at the same time. This is innovative tech for that reason. Paying 1,000-ish to emulate a handful of dual screen consoles like DS makes little sense to me at that price point. But it legit will run AAA games at 120 fps using lossless scaling & stream live cable television at the same time with no performance hit as long as you monitor RAM if you have the 16gig version. I would use this device if it never gamed at all tbh for that split screen pseudo Picture in Picture handheld tech. The controller gets hit tho b/c it’s gonna run in the 70s & the 2nd screen is likely giving off heat.

b/c it’s like an unicorn type device I had no choice but to accept the 16 GB RAM version lool but you don’t run all your store fronts at once close EA or Ubisoft Connect or Steam if you aren’t using it. Don’t run that stuff in the background & you should get by if your only option is the base model.

Great video. Just a heads up there is now a proper dual screen ds emulator with noods. I just beat my first ds game on my flip being castlevania dawn of sorrow. Due keep in mind its still pretty buggy since you seem to only be able to use the analog stick instead of the dpad in full screen. But otherwise pretty good.
