I use this to run the living room tv, it can stream twitch/youtube at 1080p, quite sufficent tbh. Bit slow on webpage loading but the video is not choppy. Still running windows 7.

Yeah Windows 7 is definitely the ideal OS for this if you're not bothered about updates.

Owch, that was some choppy performance. It's sometimes surprising how much minecrafts requirements have gone up over the years. Back when you could just download the java file and run it on anything that ran java I once managed to get it running playable in a picture frame that had a 1.3GHz Intel Atom Z520 with 512MB ram that I managed to get booting into ubuntu

All the games i tried with this cpu worked fine although it was just oblivion sims 3 crysis 1 using an rx 5700xt

Eyy. My parents upgraded our old pc that dad used to this one in 2012. Was 14 at the time. Sucked even then, had the integrated gpu. But it had 2gb of ram to be fair. Placed silver 1 in cs go back then. I started upgrading my pc in 2013, bought 4 ram. Omg the upgrade was insane from the the 2 gb to 6gb biggest upgrade yet, i had this pld hdd that needed cable from psu to run, my pc would boot like 3minutes the ram upgrade made my pc like 10 times faster, biggest upgrade ever. Later on I bought another 4gb to 8 gb, read around that you shouldnt use 4gb sticks and 2gb at the same time, but I tried 10gb and i felt no difference. Then I bought a brand new gt 630 2gb silent no fan version for 200 bucks in my countries money, thats around 70 euro but my country earned less. 300 euro was minimum wage back then so our country was always behind in technology everyone had old ass pcs back then

It is amazing the difference even small upgrades can make sometimes.

@@BenchyTests ye, the ram especially man. That was still the biggest upgrade, just getting from 2gb ram to 6gb was insane difference in pc responsiveness in daily tasks, opening folders and googling, sure gaming wasnt much better but the feel of the pc.

Using sodium 1.16.5 I got no stutters 100+ fps on athlon ii x2 220

Friend, there is a lot of bottleneck there. You are using an AMD Athlon II X2 250 with an RTX 3060Ti. The graphics card is sleeping a little more and is not getting the true benefit that should be possible with that processor. A graphics card of its time and caliber so that it works better.

The whole point in using something like that 3060Ti was to create a CPU bottleneck. When you review a processor, that's exactly what you want if you're doing it properly.

i have amd athlon x2 250 with gtx 550ti, my gta 5 graphics is bugging and when full screen mouse is lagging😢😢😂

@@francispaca845 If you are on a tight budget and you don't have the option to upgrade the motherboard, then absolutely yes. Just make sure your BIOS supports it, or that you are able to flash your BIOS to a version that supports that CPU.
