Not the most powerful. Not the first multi-core CPU. Not AMD's first multi-core CPU (I think that was the "Athlon 64 X2" CPU). The CPUs of the FX series, using architectures "Bulldozer" and "Piledriver" were generally poor for gaming because games were not (and still today are not) built to fully utilize multi-core CPU. They'll often use one core heavily, while the other cores are very lightly used. The situation is improving, but slowly. For video editing and other workloads, there is a far greater economic incentive to parallelize the process, so multi-core systems are more useful in these areas.

Hi Bro, I am having the same CPU (AMD Fx-6300) but I have fried my motherboard (970A-DS3P). I am unable to find any alternative motherboard in online or offline market here in India (Calcutta). I have tried a lot and finally changed my whole system to Intel i5 3rd Gen CPU paired with Readon Rx 550 2GB. My old AMD Fx6300 CPU is still in a very good condition. Please suggest me something so that I can get a motherboard. Lots of Love from India. Thanks in advance :)
