I got this card but really dislike it, I had a 1050ti and it doesn't really feel like an upgrade, maybe 15 fps more but the card is loud and hot all the time, an im using it at PCIE 4.0. No, I would not go for this card to upgrade a 1050ti, it will be slightly faster, but not enough to warrant a new card, as you mentioned, 15, though it would be slightly over 20, but still, not enough., this is a good card when you can't get anything, this will work on PCIE 4 but it won't take advantage, you want a 6600 or above. Well, if the card is hot and loud, its loud to lower the temps, but I never had that issue with it, sounds like maybe your system is thermally challeged. How many fans do you have in the front of your case and are they blowing in or sucking out, How many fans do you have on the top of your case and are they blowing in or sucking out, How many fans do you have in the rear of your case and are they blowing in or sucking out,?

As for the secure part, yes as it won't rob a bank or steal your identity hahah, but in regards to drivers, yes its OK, just do it like I show you here. The AMD driver wont know what the NVIDIA driver is and visa versa and in safe mode, the drivers arent used anyway.

meh, no worries what kids say, you can buy what you like, they can't hahha. I have been building since I was 13, before the internet was what it is today, we only had BBS' but I am 43, I am sure you could tell me many more stories ;) So, lower latency is better, AMD is really sensitive to it... BUT more for benchmarks, real world stuff, you won't see much of a difference. Just make sure you get memory that is AMD certified. On my new workstation, I just built, I had Corsair RAM, and it had nothing but issues, so I returned it and got Gskill RAM, you can check out the video here, but just know, I made this video for me, so its not a build guide like I like to do, so things are not clear, this is just quick building so I had a machine again since my workstation died: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2SvmXmDmceneKM As long as building a PC makes you happy, do it, lifes to short to not be happy. Don't know to tell you, sadly I don't pretend to have a crystal ball like the other reviewers, that keep repeating it every day to get clicks. For me, the time I know the prices are coming down, is when I see them coming down. What I HIGHLY recommend to do is for example, you want to get a 6800 (just an example) save $800 to get a 6800. By the time you save up enough money to get one, it may be that price or the 7800 will be that price, so you end up winning no mater what. I hope that helps you my friend.

depending on which case you have (we used to switch cases all the time) you could use this half height card, here is my Amazon affiliate link for it too, if you are interested: geni.us/SjS6bI There are a few chassis styles that don't have any pcie slots, there are some that if they do have are half height, have 2 slots, which will work, some actually have 4 half height slots, make sure you have that one that has at least 2, 4 would work too.

I have a bug with this GPU. On two monitors, even without load, after an hour the memory frequency drops to zero. And then the card works at 10% performance. If you rearrange the monitor port, everything starts working agaai 60min. Changed computers and monitors. but doesn't work.

Amigo pude solucionar al instalarle los drivers por amd como q cambia a una resolución q no soportaba mi tv o monitor lo probé en otro mejor y si lo pude instalar fallaba mientras estaba instalando los drivers pero solucione gracias por tu respuesta

@@ThisBytesForYou amigo me di cuenta probando la rx 6500 xt en otro tv o monitor de mayor resolución en mi monitor y tv no daba vídeo es decir al momento de poner la tarjeta trabaja bien pero cuando se actualizan en plena actualización se le va el video como si al actualizar cambiará a una resolución muy alta y cuando reinicio única normal pero cuando va entrar al sistema se apaga la tarjeta de video y el equipo sigue trabajando pero sin vídeo

So that I can help, please list the manufacturer and exact model number of the following components: 1. Motherboard 2. CPU 3. RAM 4. Video Card 5. Power supply 6. Monitor. 7. Do you have ALL of the PCIE connections plugged in, and not daisy chained or pigtailed, each coming directly from the power supply? 8. Are you running through HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA, any adapters? 9. UEFI in the BIOS from Legacy. If it was set to Legacy, you will need to reinstall windows to get correct support. 10. Disable CSM in the BIOS 11. Installed latest supported chipset driver?

usually that is the case with older hardware, sadly. A few things, first, update your BIOS to the latest version: www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-S2H-V2-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios Then run through this video, except, after I remove the drivers, and reboot you will need to do a windows update and since we had placed the check in the box, it won't update video, update windows 100%, which will mean you will need to update, restart, update again, restart, update again and so on. After you have updated, completely, you will need to download and install your updated chipset drivers: www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b450 There is a chance you will need the latest standard in HDMI, 2.1 like you see in my amazon affiliate link: geni.us/fsv0 or DP or DP 2.0 like in my Amazon Affiliate link: geni.us/TfYBF7A, AMD requires the latest standard in cables.

Hello my friend, a good day to you as well. HDMI 2.0 can handle up to 240 Hz when using 1080p resolution, 144 Hz when using 1440p resolution and 60 Hz when using 4K resolution. HDMI 2.1 cables can handle up to 120 Hz when using 4K resolution and 60 Hz when using 8K resolution. Lower resolutions than 4K can all handle up to 240 Hz when using an HDMI 2.1 cable DisplayPort offering up to 240Hz at 1080p resolution and 144Hz at 1440p. DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 are a major uplift in raw bandwidth over previous generations of DisplayPort, however, meaning they can do much more but the cable could be an issue. What is the manufacturer and model number of your monitor?

Well, the 6500 is a PCIE gen4 card, and even though when inserted it reports PCIE 3.0, you might experience stutters in performance in PCIE 3.0.
