Yes you need to update BIOS if motherboard old stock with old BIOS. If new stock comes with new BIOS and have a AMD Ryzen 3000 series orange sticker. New stock motherboards will support out of the BOX, old stock motherboard need update BIOS.

i think you have the motherboard with old BIOS. You will need to update BIOS with the older Ryzen 2000 series processor before you can use the AMD Ryzen 3000 series processor

Depends on your preference, if you want to use an AIO Cooler your cabinet must have a mount for the radiator than you can use can use any supported liquid cooler of your choice.

@@simeonaleksandrov5486 Mental? Well many people are thermophobic 'Me also' (whenever CPU temps cross 70°C mark they thought their RIG is gonna explode) that's the main reason please use AIOs even in super budget builds.

@@faiziasif9385 I just don't know how to feel about that, it may be me, but one time I saw a comment on a 200$pc with Athlon 200GE, 4 GB ram and an A320M mobo that was asking if it would fit in an NZXT kraken case (forgot the model, not even sure if it was even a kraken series case) and if it would be a good rig to cool with an 360mm AIO and everyone there was like wtf is this guy's problem

@@simeonaleksandrov5486 well I am this kind of person but I am not that dumb to mount a NZXT on Athlon. Yes I use Deepcool L240 V2 on My Ryzen 3400G, but AIO on an Athlon chip is seriously an overkill, this combo will only waste power to run the pump & radiator fans, since Athlon can't use the potential of such AIO. Athlon only has 35W TDP, the bundled stock cooler is more than enough for that.
