Years of domination from Intel has lead to softwares being engineered around single core performance. Things need to change and softwares need to start using more and more cores, there is so much of wasted potential. Work can be done much faster, once the softwares themselves start utilising cores and threads judiciously.

Great review. Thanks a lot. Under 45 watts, the differences between 4800H and 5800H are quite low plus clock speeds and temperature are better. I think the 5800H gets hotter because of its one CCX design. The heat is likely concentrated on a smaller area and this way temperatures are rising more, compared to a 2 CCX design.

Hello, quick question: can you tell us something about your experience with clock behaviour during lighter tasks? I currently use a TongFang - base Laptop with a Ryzen 7 4800H but also saw similar behaviour on a ASUS Zephyrus G14. In both cases, the CPU only knew "Boost: yes" or "Boost: no" and so clocks and temperatures and thus fans ramped up if you did anything that marginally stressed the CPU. Of course, thats got to do with TDP and not clocks per se, but also the TDP increased in such scenarios. I am currently working with a totally deactivated turbo mode since I got none of the tools to adjust boost, voltage etc. to work on my unit. Is this behaviour still the same?

@quantumhelix86683 жыл бұрын
@@evillano5778 Well it's only got 11% more processing power in realtime applications. If you're on the market for a laptop anyway, get the 5800H. If you already have a 4800H laptop, it's a pointless upgrade. The 5800H may last a little longer, but both in 3 years time will be about 2.5x and 2.6x slower than the cpu's released then. Not much in it. Most generational iterations are for early adopters, tech obsessors and servers where 11% across hundreds of servers makes a big impact (these are laptop cpu's though). For anyone just "looking for a laptop" the 4800H is still an excellent top tier CPU and the 5800H is one iteration above. If I saw a Laptop for $1000 all same specs as a $1300 laptop but the only difference was 4800H vs 5800H, I'd get 4800H. Thank you Although there is no A15 with i5 11400 version on the website But i have The statistics from your videos and the I5 11400 Is the model with the worst battery life KZbin 245min Where the 4800h Twice as much. Battery life provides Wow I didn't think That this version is so bad and so the i7 11370H is Significantly better and is on par with the 4800H version But why is the 2021 A15 version with 5800H The one with more battery life and the 2022 version with 6800H the weaker Then I'd rather wait for the new RTX 4000 Series But must say again the A17 version with 5800H would have again more battery life because it is the 17 inch variant Then the 6800H & 5800H would be more recommended and 4800H and i7 11370H Nevertheless, the market is a disaster and the prices are absolute usury. Thanks for your help has helped me a lot and the site is also really clear continue like this and Good luck for the future

It probably depends on the WH of the battery I recently noticed But there are too many versions is a pity that the A17 with 17 inches I had thought that it has a larger Kaku installed but unfortunately not all. With 90WH The old models have 56Wh If I understood correctly the RTX version have 90Wh Is this true

I have bought the Asus g17 Ryzen 74800h with rtx 3060 for 1200C$ with 1 tb storage. Is this a good laptop for gaming even if this was made like 2 years ago .. thoughts ?

I know I'm late but wouldn't it be better to compare 2 of the same laptops with the different cpus in each since the form factor of the laptop can drastically affect performance due to thermals? 2 Legions with the 4800h and the other with the 5800h would give more consistent results no? That could be why the 4800h boosted to higher clock speeds than the 5800h like you said

Hey Jarrod I have the legion 5 AMD with 2060 115Watt for 800 USD. Timespy score was 7280. I'm a noob with Laptops my question is should I return it and get a laptop with a 3060 max q or will the upgrade be negligible? Thank you.

I've been holding off purchasing a laptop until the 5000 series is in stock. Of course this will be after watching your reviews.

Hi, which one is better? i5-11300H(Asus vivobook 14 OLED) OR AMD Ryzen 7 4800 H(Asus Zephyrus 14). Both have Nvidia GTX 1650. Both have 16GB Ram. Both are around INR 70000.

I have the Legion i5 10300h, but I'm selling it. Instead, I just ordered the Legion 5 4800h with 1tb SSD, 144hz display, RTX 2060 (115W), and the 80wh battery. Should arrive any day now. Can't wait!

Lenovo Legion 5 ryzen 7 4800H + RTX 2060 or Legion 5 Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3050 Ti for coding and editing?

Unless there is minute price difference between 4800 and 5800, the new one is not worth the money. I'm sure there will be plenty of unsold stock of 4800H around and they will be heavily discounted. Good first review though 👍
