I see that everywhere. Yes. Lisa is a god for AMD and I'm glad she took over. Baby steps were needed at the beginning but whenever someone takes over, results are then seen over course of the years ahead and in that specific moment you can only do so much like when 480 RX cards came out and Ryzen 1000 series. If we only see how much has changed and been planned over past few years for today is crazy. I also believe many things were worked on before Lisa came, but she improved everything, even marketing side of the business.

In my humble opinion, just save up for a desktop if you want to game or just buy a more practical laptop for productivity + portability. I get that the idea of a gaming laptop is to have enough power to run the best PC games with the portability of a laptop. However, in most cases, it's too heavy to bring around. Also, since it has too much power for a supposedly portable unit, it tends to heat up quite easily in response to running those AAA games that are installed. Which in the long run, causes damage to the battery. My friend has one and he can't really have it unplugged for more than 5 mins or else, it'll hibernate. So in the end, it's just like buying yourself a more expensive but less capable desktop. I get what it wants to achieve but that "portability" is gonna go away in like half a year. The longer you own it, it starts turning itself into an underpowered and uncustomizable desktop computer. TL;DR: Owning a gaming laptop is like owning a unit that is less powerful PC and a laptop that is not so portable. In theory, it's supposed to be the best of both worlds but actually, it's like having the worst of both.

Last year's version's biggest problem was ergonomics and viewing angles, as in: it could not really be comfortably used as a LAP-top. as the double screen and the keyboard pushed towards the side closer to the user made it awkward to use it that way. It was more like a portable station. I don't see that that has changed unfortunately. or has it?

Appreciate your speaking up on this...as a "semi-disabled" person (fatigue) I spend a lot of time lying down, and absolutely NEED a LAPtop...designers tend to be leaving me behind. The second screen in the above configuration holds promise...and the touchpad means I disable it and have to reach over it if I am using the laptop on my knees. Now if only someone would revise the index finger operated trackball mouse that logitech has, that works so well, but they have designed to die in 2 months (60-80.00 to replace, I use 6 a year....GGGRRRRR), I would be back in business and not terrified that my computer using days are ending. ZERO consideration for stability in this industry or accommodating anything but "new and different". For us aging folks, we want these things to be like our cars...where we don't go out and sit in it waiting for it to update, and where when we go use it, it is still the same thing it was yesterday.

@@ricardolourizela5961 This is definetly more powerful lol. No to mention it is only one laptop with 4K 120 hz and second 4K touchscreen in compact 15 inch body. Comparing to xmg neo 15 and Asus rog Strix 15 scar, which is also a lot thicker. It is completely silent in idle and even in silent mode while gaming , where noise never reach over 30 db and game never drop bellow 60 fps. Also it has much more better thermal performance. where cpu and gpu is much cooler cos of that improve design which lead to higher gpu clock speed and keyboard area with touch pad is no where near hot to touch under load like these other two and in turbo mode cpu can reach even 66 C and gpu 68 while gaming wiitcher 3 which is incredible. I actualy own this laptop myself so I can confirm all of this from my experience.

*Everything's fine other than that one last thing away to perfection as always:* In their case, they need to address that bottom thick chin like the Dell XPS which serves no purpose where it is better to have a usable 16:10 display that's already filled with Windows Task Bar, Multiple Chrome Tabs + Address Bar instead of dead plastic as opposed to the size of the laptop just to stick with 16:9 which makes sense for an independent desktop monitor but for a portable laptop, its limitation is a different case.

Love your stuff so far, love these double screened computers (just got myself a zenbook pro duo) and incase you ever see this, I actually do love the trackpad being on the side where it is, I have always hated having to move my arm to the awkward position of directly in front of me, and the side trackpad just feels so much better on the arm Just another opinion though, incase you havent heard it from anyone else. Keep up the good stuff man, love the vids!

Just revived my rtx 3080 preo-rdered version 3 days ago. Man, it's amazing. Didn't really buy it for gaming (more for editing 5.2 K videos)but will try some titles out. Was about about to throw that adapter box in the bin, thanks to watching this video I didn't. Thanks, it works brilliantly as a stand. I can now see both screens at the same time perfectly without cranking my head! The only think I would've liked was the main display to be touchscreen too (like me zenbook duo 15) and for it to also be OLED (again like my zenbook duo 15)

Such a seemingly high-quality piece of technology. I have the Zenfone 6 from Asus and I can tell you it's a lot of tech for the price. I can see why they opted for a side trackpad due to the extra screen. Not sure if I'd just go for a full touchscreen laptop, but seems like a decent amount of space for notes. And it might help with compartmentalizing multiple active windows. Hopefully, stores have these so I can feel out the differences because this is quite different.

When you move up to higher resolutions like 4k, you actually use less cpu because you get lower fps. The 5600x beats the 10900k in gaming most of the time because zen 3 has a higher ipc, and since most games don't use more than 6 cores, the 10 cores that the 10900k has will come to full use. This also applies to the 5900hx Dave mentioned in the video. The 5900hx is about 10% faster when it comes to single core score compared to the 10900k, which translates to better gaming performance in almost every single case. Don't believe me? Userbenchmark is probably the worse way to compare different pieces of hardware because of how broken their algorithm is for calculating performance. I was talking about single core performance too, which is what pretty much determines a cpu's gaming performance. At least try to read the goddamn post before you reply. Ryzen 5000 single handle beats 10th gen intel in this aspect of every level, although 11th gen still manages to edge it out. Linus also doesn't take money from any at all company. You would be a fool to think that.
