The RSR also works with the fsr . I'm in a Robocop game, turned on the Rsr and got a very clear and sharp picture. It is very noticeable on rusty machine parts, cracked door textures, etc.

⁠hey, could you care to elaborate on the resolution that we should set on each one? So, watching some videos it seems that if: - I want to use FSR, on the game I change to the FINAL resolution (example 1200p or 1600p) and the game will be rendered at half that resolution (example 800p then resized to 1200p) - on RSR, we change to the rendering resolution and then the drivers will resize it to the desktop resolution (1600p on the legion go if you didn’t change it) - on Steam’s paid lossless scaling app…I don’t know anymore… - integer scaling…the same. We set the final resolution (like 1600p and it will be rendered at 800p) or the rendered resolution (800p) and it will be resized to 1600p? I’m too confused… Another question: can we install directly AMD drivers (and not Lenovo’s) without losing any features or issues?

Thanks for the vid, I get confused at what to pick before i play the games and sometimes I end up spoiling tbe experience because of it. What settings are you running on helldivers? Also when iv tried losless scaling I get a mesh texture over the screen?

RSR only works on external displays. On the LEGO display it does not work correctly as the driver reads the native pixels, which are rotated. That is, it scales for example from 1280x800 to 1600x2560 instead of scaling to 2560x1600 which gives error.

It is not a "feeling"...is the reality. Lenovo team has literally slept since end of December 2023. A very bad support for the handheld...next time I will be very careful of buying their products again.

Nah yea lack of updates is bumming me out the device is good tho minus the battery 3 time my device turned off cause I was playing it while it charges and it was so hot

RiS is underrated. Turn it on 80 to 100%™along side GPU scaling in the display settings. It can make 800p look like 1200p, and 1200p look like 1600p. I like using it vs the others.

Integer scaling really came about for upscaling of older pixel style games. I rarely use it for anything else that is not retro gaming tho you can for sure. WE have a ton of scaling options out there. Good to experiment

Thank You for the information :) Since I own the Legion Go I only tried Integer Scaling. I didn't test RSR for now but Integer Scaling already boosts the performance pretty much. Thanks to You I will also test RSR :) @@GamesInHand

Integer scaling is "pixel perfect" . Integer scaling can still be used in combination with FSR/RSR . Think of it like turning your 1600p screen into a native 800p. Your display has its own scaling like 1200p . I'm not sure but it's probably using nearest neighbor scaling. RSR/FSR is GPU scaling and your display then has its own. So if you have the display set at 800p when you use FSR you will have a lower in game resolution. I have the Ally and The Legion Go. I use integer scaling on both actually. 800p is very well supported by most games that I play and 540p(Ally) is supported by about 50% You'll want to use integer scaling 800p with no upscaling or FSR/RSR +RIS . The best way to play on battery I've found is 800p integer with Radeon Chill enabled. 36 fps works wonders and the legion software that sets the fps limit is just using Radeon Chill. Most AAA games at 800p with FSR quality use about 13 watts on low/medium settings. I get 2+ hours of crisp gameplay

I’m trying to get RSR to work on Hellblade 2. I have it enabled on the amd app but not sure if it’s doing anything. Is there anyway to check this? I’m using TSR upscale in game settings.

What about integer scaling? I found it to be much better than the rest and can be used along side fsr too for further gains. It's a miracle worker

I have mixed results with that. For example on Rise of the Tomb Raider, playing at 800p resized to 1600p the image is too soft; but using RSR at 1080p produces a much better image and it loses not too many fps compared to 800p at integer scaling.

RSR does not work for my legion go, even though I turned it on from Adrenaline app (also overlay show "on")I dont see any difference between native 800p and upscaled 800p (set my screen resolution to 1080p). Do you have any idea how to fix it ? In my steam deck, fsr upscaling worked flawlessly for the same game (rise of the tomb raider)

Ive been running games at 800P with ris around 70% , and the lossless scaling program, and slightly bumped up the saturation and contrast in the amd software .

Great video but what is the difference in using the rsr in the leGo Home Screen in settings menu and the amd software? Can you use both or do they void each other out? Thanks

Nodifference. The toggle in Legion quick settins turn the feature on and off in the amd software. Same thing just another way to do it easier

Fsr 3 is implemented in games and does work if enabled. AMD Motion Fluid Frames (AFMF) is the driver level version that is not currently working on the Legion Go.

@GIH You guys should do a video about that app that you can buy on steam for $7 the loss list something that kind of gives you like the whole frame generation. How good it is like an in-depth analysis, how good it is, what games it should be used for on the older school games or the modern games? What resolution it works best and what it doesn't. What kind of frames can we be expecting and so on and so on because I haven't really seen anybody do an in-depth analysis about it and the people that I do know that went ahead and bought it that have used it. I don't know if they're lying or not, but I mean they're saying they're saying a bumping up to 10 to 15 frames per second. They're able to run cyberpunk way smoother out of lock 60 with a higher resolution and so on and so on. So it would be nice if you guys did a video like deep not just a quick. You know 123 minute like I mean like a deep one like explaining testing multiple games and seeing which one it works better on. If maybe even some you can get you know higher frames and the other one you don't

@@GamesInHand yes but added deep dive comparing to fsr rsr etc. Different resolutions see what's the best how it works on older games and if it works well at 1200p vs 1080 vs 800p etc. That would be a very good video and recommendation and what games it works better with etc. no one seems to be making a deep dive , they compare fsr vs rsr etc. but for some reason such a great feature to have and no one seems to be talking about it

Help i mess up my legion go after an driver update and twerking the amd app setting's and whats everything on it, now i keep on having a refresh rate every second and the graphics keeps on crashing every 4 seconds on every games, i just got it for like 5 days

Helldivers 2 runs like 💩 in my legion go… since it doesn’t support DLSS or FSR should I use RSR?

your gonna wanna be at 800p and lower settings for decent performance. I prefer using the lossless app in steam for frame generation and works great on Helldivers for Go till we get the AMD Fluid Motion Frames driver update. With lower settings at 800p and using lossless app in steam i get 65-90 fps in Helldivers.
