Firstly, thank you so much for inspiring me to go for Berklee even if it was farther than I anticipated to go for college, God Bless you for that ❤️ My question is, can you tell us the documents you need to have ready if you are nominated for a full ride scholarship? Also, how much time do they give you to get everything together and is there a separate interview to see if you will get the Presidential Scholarship? (And is there a limit to how many people get it?) Thank you Ameer!!

Hello, I hope you’re doing well. Also great video btw. In your video you mentioned Berklee not being the only school out there. That being said, I was wondering if you had any suggestions of other music colleges or institutes. (Btw this isn’t meant in rude manner or in a disrespectful way. ) Moreover, I feel like I should note that I am currently attending a community college as a Music Ed major and I’m a vocalist. I’ll be joining in the fall on the Presidential scholarship! Had to Audition twice and make a financial aid appeal and write many essays! Did a lot of reaching out to businesses for funding and as an international student other expenses (visa, travel, luggage, winter clothes) the entire process was so daunting! However, by working on my craft and keeping my faith in Jesus🙏🏾🥺 I prevailed! Don’t give up on your dreams y’all ✨🙏🏾

If people want to try the "Berklee experience", I can recommend the summer program in Valencia, Spain where we currently live. Most of the students coming travel with their parents, so it becomes a great excuse for a family vacation in a beautiful city. We caught some of their 'Concert by the Lake' performances and everyone- student musicians, families, and public- was wonderful.

This is a really helpful video that I needed now more than ever! I have been eyeing Berklee for a very very long time, and I am graduating from highschool in 2024!! I’ve wanted more than anything to finally tour Berklee this summer, but it’s hard to even get there because I live in the central-east coast and Boston is a little more up north ($$$ issues). I watched your video about your daily life at Berklee and it was really incredible finally seeing somebody showing off a realistic and genuine representation of how they go about it, when I haven’t been able to apply to summer programs or register for tours at all. Soon, when I can finally see Berklee for myself, I can commit to it and put forth my best efforts to make an impression, stand out, showcase my music, and even be considered for scholarships like yours. Congratulations and thank you thank youuu for this video!

This was soo helpful especially as I look into music schools in the area like Berklee! I honestly had no idea it was soo expensive most people had to get scholarships but if you have and videos on how you prepared your portfolio I will definitely be watching ! It is so nice to see KZbinr (especially POC) with the same major I’m interested in! I kinda feel unlucky because of how competitive the MP&E courses are but do you have any experiences with creative people you met at berklee that contributed to your career and success as a musician ?

I want to go to Berklee very badly but likely won't be able to without sufficient financial aid. I don't meet the need based scholarships under things like FAFSA, so I have to rely on merit based scholarships. I do metal guitar, and I am good at it. Do you think I could get a full-ride doing metal guitar and not something like jazz?

Thanks for the video! I'm a singer from Bangladesh. I'm planning to apply for next intake. But I'm a bit confused about the prepararion materials. Could you please advise on what kind of songs should be prepared? Is it strictly English song? I'm a Bengali, I sing Bengali songs mostly, but also practice English and Korean songs sometimes. You advice will help a lot.

Theres a lot of scholarships available online, you should apply to everything that you can. A lot of people take out student loans, but they can ve very expensive to pay off, so dont settle, shop around for diff loans and pay attention to interest rates
