I used to ride many friesians back in my teen days. The walk looks exactly how it feels, bouncy and fun. The trot is ok maybe a smidge too much hackney snappy, the canter is too hackney stepping, although the ones I rode were show ones they look like this often in hand but not as extreme when ridden. The canter and gallop are really nice. The ones I rode had loads of movement when pushed into a gallop or extended canter.

I’m not a Friesian expert myself but I did just see a whole bunch during BreyerFest in July (including an adorable little 2 month old baby 🥺). These look pretty accurate to a real life Friesian in my opinion

I believe in 2005 Breyerfest did a medieval event and they had Fire Magic a rare bay Friesian as their celebration horse, and i also think they're very accurate to the actual breed

I will say the KWPN’s special trot is half natural bc it is technically just an extended trot. I love these fresians and will definitely be getting them

@@ThatEquineStar because they were actually unfortunately based on abused KWPNs but their head wasn't, so it looks kinda funky, but yeah, their trot and extended trot and piaffe aren't really how an ideal dressage horse's gates should look like

I'm not a Friesian expert either, but I have researched a lot of things about them. Apparently, even though they are considered draft horses by a lot of people, they are actually only around 15 hh (there have obviously been draft sized ones- the tallest being 19 hh) I also went to a barn for a day a few months ago and watched someone lunge their Friesian! The gaits are pretty accurate and only the canter looked different (but sso made them a dressage horse too so) Anyways, tysm for the video! I loved it!

Things I like about this Friesan horse: The Walk, the canter (a bit), the extended canter (sorry if I wrote it wrong), the Gallop and the Jump is ok. The Friesan gen 3 was a complete mess and I hated it (Stil bought 4 of them). But that Friesan is not that bad but I think I will just buy the black one with a few white details ❤❤

Oh my, i completely forgot about the new friesian coming today?! I know their gaits are realistic, from what ive heard but im not a fan of the rear but i love the model tho and the coats. I do prefer some jorvik gaits though.When i saw ur name pop up i instantly clicked not even knowing what it said ahah ❤

I think they are pretty accurate. I like them. They also were used as carriage horses so they can have a trot and canter like a Hackey as well but not as pronounced.

yeah horses are not gonna be like still when you ride them (specially gallop), however they are not like this… they don’t wobble their asses while running lol it’s the same thing with the selle france horse in sso, they are too wobbly to the point that it’s unnecessary :p

My only complaint is the front legs seem too....bent during the gaits. Its the lower forelegs that bug me. I have expect the horse to fall on its face XD but otherwise I LOVE it. Huge Friesan fan

Friesians naturally have very skinny legs irl so I can excuse the toothpick legs. However I do think they should update the Canter Pirouette. The Canter Pirouette is something that the breed is known for in real life. I would also like some of the coats from the Jorvik Friesians like the grey and paint horses. I know they aren’t common irl but I still think they are Beautiful

THE GLITCH AFTER THE PIROUETTE FINISHES KILLS ME. it kills me. they're so gorgeous. I adore nearly everything about these horses. but the canter pirouette missing frames and glitching oddly at the end makes me visibly cringe every time. it hurts so bad. I adore these horses just because they're so pretty model-wise and color-wise and even the gaits are showy and gorgeous (the lead leg on the canter is a bit silly imo but oh well) BUT THE CANTER PIROUETTE I generally try not to be nitpicky or like harsh but the canter pirouette. the glitch afterwards. the missing frames. it just feels so unfinished and it hurts

i really like how they turned out! (from an animation stand point) my only gripe/complaint is that the front legs in the canter look like there cliping into its self like as if its folding instead of bending. idk if that makes any sense lol. it kind of reminds me of the lusitano canter. but again other than that one small thing i absolutly love them!

I definitely like the friesians more than I did when a saw the spoiler, I still hate the pirouette though. I’m at my aunts house till Sunday so I can’t play sso and actually see them😭😭When I get home I think im going to get the chestnut and/or the black one with the weird markings. ♡𐂃

Living in England I’ve seen many Friesians and know someone who owns one. Personally I’m more of a warmblood or thoroughbred sorta gal but the sso Friesians are really nice they look really realistic from my experience and I like them as an in game horse more than I like them in real life tbh

The only thing I’ve heard or noticed is how like awkward the friesians jump is at trot and canter. It’s like going up and up then jumps from an upward position like if we were to bend out back and try to jump upwards. That’s the only thing I don’t love, but the turns on this horse (and as a barrel racer) they’re so good dude. I just love them overall, I’m finally buying one on my main account

Honestly they're gorgeous, but I agree on the pirouette. I do hope they listen to the community about it and decide to slow it down a little bit in the future, but overall they're solid

I rode a fresian once, you can definitely fell the difference in their steps. I ride an Arabian and riding a Fresian definitely took me by surprise!

I feel like the front legs come up way too close to the chest in most of the gates. Horses shouldn’t completely retract their legs into their body every time they trot/canter. It’s not awful, but it’s worse in the first canter after the trot 😂

Toothpick legs yes the front legs should have more upper shoulder muscle and they don't have it. :( especially in the walk and the trot,. and the SNAP of those legs in the trot and the extended trot (special move) is very noticeable. and the JUMP animations. AGAIN. I prefer the gen three jorvik freisian when I see jumps. WEIGHTED JUMP. not this floating to the ground and land on all fours.. every.. horse.. has this problem now. and it's annoying. :(

As someone who is a huge fan of Friesians, it’s really funny just how much the breed is used in film. As much as I adore the model, the animations are just not it. The extended canter and gallop are okay-ish, but generally what they did was just slap the Jorvik Frisian's animations and tweaked them a bit. Resulting in very unflattering movements for the horse. Also they are too lanky and thin. This may be an unpopular opinion but I prefer the model of the Jorvik Frisian. It is bulkier and looks more like a Frisian to me. Only thing it needs are different animations and mane physics.

when things are super dark/black they absorb more light and can look blue or purple. or like in a cases of hair dye (like mine) they add blue undertones to make it look darker, whereas red undertones can make your hair look brown. my hair looks extremely black (like this friesians) because of said undertones, sometimes my hair dye even washes out a dark blue. it’s just color theory.

I just dont like them, their.. something. I dont really care for the breed. Their gaits look like toys (though i do somewhat like the fast canter), their manes and tails look like barbie hair. Idk, the only freisain horse that i truly love is the gen2. The coats also look like plastic (especially on the liver and plain chestnuts)? The extrended trot has its toe flicking.. like the DWB.. when its not supoose to. The special move is just a messy. It looks like the horse is still in its back legs. One last thing. The rear and hard stop. HATE them. I wish the hardstops were actually hardstops and not just- weirdly stoping without effort? And i wont talk about the rear. Youll know why when you look at it. I do think they are better at chonkier breeds, i do think its my preference in SSO as well so i kay be being overly critical, i just want the noriker to come out better then this (in my opinion) somewhat mess of a horse

ill say with full respect to the ones who love them, i really hate the new friesians, if you look in the manes, they look double ramen mane/tail, the animations are duped and reused, though i love dwbs and lippies but for a elegant breed, it doesnt suit them, the coats are straight up whack...the liver chestnut looks like yk...a brown solid object...the running braids with the braided tail is awful. PS i will not buy one till the day i quit sso, the dark coats are okayish but still hat the new friesians
