Your videos are very very good. I’ve always liked them. I wish you did a video on how to teach and train the one tempis. I’ve taught two horses but I thought myself first and would like to get better at it.

Thanks! I'm working on tempis with my boy... the videos are super helpful! Oh and the counting tip made made 4s super easy! I'm not good at 4s...! I get 4 then 3 then 6... 🙄 but found your count technique easy and I'm actually acurate! 👍😊

Im really late but me and my horse are working on this. what should he be able to do before i start? he has his auto changes but we are struggling. should we start with four tempis? threes?
@AmeliaNewcombDressage Жыл бұрын
Spoilers, but I have a new course all about flying changes coming in the next few weeks! But to answer your question, are they auto changes or are they confirmed changes? If they are auto, you have to teach him to do it when you ask, rather than just when he realizes he has to change. From there, you do three changes on the diagonial, don't worry about counting, just work on the quality and get them roughly at the quarter and center lines.

you really don't realize how this poor horse is in pain from pulling him on that bit?:(
@horses28505 жыл бұрын
We don’t pull horses on the bit, we actually ride them forward onto the bit, it’s much better for them to work this way.
@Eva-cn2bu5 жыл бұрын
@@horses2850 ok, let's skip his, you really don't realize how this poor horse is in pain?
@alisonmaltais70955 жыл бұрын
You are either not a horse person, or are poorly educated or inexperienced when it comes to horses and have no idea what you are talking about. Bits have been used for literally thousands of years, this is not a display of a horse in pain from a bit. Educating yourself on horse behavior, and how they would actually behave if they were in pain would be my recommendation.
