Fun facts: Shenzhen is home to the second most skyscrapers in the world after Hong Kong 😊
@ianmontgomery7534Күн бұрын
It would be an interesting statistic would be the number of elevators in Shenzhen. Back in 2009 I was told that there were 55,000 in Hong Kong so I would expect more there now and even more in Shenzhen. In 2014 the figure I have seen was 110,000. I guess being an elevator service person is a job for life.

Welcome to Shenzhen! I’ve worked here for a period of time, and as a Chinese person, Shenzhen has made a deep impression on me as well. This city is one of the most inclusive in China, with an environment that closely resembles Silicon Valley. It’s a hub of innovation and diversity, and I’m sure you’ll find it just as inspiring.

Shenzhen is the city to watch...futuristic. I was there for 3 years. There is more than just the Metro Station. Shekou is another marvel part of Shenzhen, among other futuristic infrastructures in this city. More to it, there are cities like Qingdao, which are not even known outside China, but way ahead in terms of similar infrastructures and technology. To believe it, you have to be there. Social Western media does not cover this. China- Shenzhen has a huge park known as the "Window of World." Every famous architectural building in the world is in this park. Including the infrastructure building of the "Eiffel Tower" is almost the same size as the one in Paris. Welcome to the "Silicon Valley" of China.

The remarkable thing about Shenzhen is that it was a fishing village in 1970 when they flattened nearly all the hills and started to build the city we know and they had great forethought when they built it. Major roads were multi lane divided roads and plenty of open space was allocated. I really enjoyed my time living there.

The investments by China in it's infrastructures is not to "beat" anyone. It's tto ensure that the ordinary people of China has a better life going forward. To make sure China do not become just a "rich man world", like in the ABBA song.
Looking forward to see your next video which make a final summary of your trip to China, which should do a comparison with other countries you visited.

When I left China in 2009 Shenzhen had just started building the Metro. In 5 years they built 150kms of Metro with 52 stations. It has been extended so much since then. Even back then one building in Shenzhen has a neon Santa that was about 15 stories high.

Your very title of the video is wrong! Forget about competition or America competing against China, no other country in the world can even come close to China. China is so much ahead of the rest! From America, China is at least 30/35 years ahead and from India, China is 100 years ahead. China is no longer a different country, they have transformed themselves onto a different world, a different civilisation altogether.

Why America Can’t Compete with China’s World-Class Infrastructure? 📢Because of cost! In fact, not just only subways, but American airports need infrastructure - Newark, Denver, Philadelphia, etc. On the other hand, American taxpayers say this is my money, why I should pay taxes for the public infrastructure?
We believe China has done a tremendous things about its own country and their people, however can you differentiate more clearly the evidences and how much differences are with the america itself by you coming there and viewing the videos like you have done much around China ?. So your viewers will see the exact proves the actual seeing in US ?. Thanks.
