19:00 it’s a recreation after the fact, that a stupidly skilled artist drew with literally no reference besides accounts via word of mouth. Crazy stuff honestly.

The paintings are artists depiction of real events. They based the depictions on people’s testimony
@NoCodeLive7 ай бұрын
I love those kinda of artists.
@KaoretheHalfDemon7 ай бұрын
How they do the paintings is either an artist hears about what happens and imagines what it was like, is told about the event and then paints it, or a combination of both. The painting is basically how the artist envisioned the event so not super accurate… very cool paintings come from stuff like it though.

This is why I like seeing young people watch history vids. For not just the educational value. But for you to understand why we do not deal with terrorists. For our Four Fathers understood. Give them an inch they will take more. But also it shows how our Military Started and why other nations should respect our Military. We as Americans should respect the Military and shame the ones that try to shame our Military, sorry got off topic.

As far as the paintings go, many people back then learned at the very least to sketch so after the sailors would schetch what they saw and comple scetches later on to paint a scene.

That’s dope art was different different back then in a dope way
@LSFA-KrissyL164 ай бұрын
been a fine artist my whole life, and other commenters are right. most of the time the scenes were created based on what they were told, the better ones are those events the artists experienced themselves. I'm in the middle of a painting depicting a battle during the war of 1812, and I have only 200 year old portraits and historical record to go on. it aint easy when you weren't there yourself lol.

Also the best part about fat electrician is he encourages reaction content because he believes this more important that the information actually gets out there and gets taught and the reason why he's going to school to be a historian and so he can try to do away with this anti-American mind set that's that's so many modern people have today because they're ignorant of the good and bad things in America done majority of them only no bad stuff that amarican has done. That's why I recommend the next video you check out is the "Berlin AirLift"

Nick tells this story very well. The only detail he missed is that America didn't fight the Barbary pirates completely alone. Exactly ONE European nation was fighting with us at that time: Sweden, of all people.
@davegray30498 ай бұрын
Actually a more correct way to put it is the United States joined the Barbary war because Sweden had been fighting the tripoli's long before the US ever jumped in

You (6:16) : *"I know how to read. I'm educated..."* -- -- > We're outside people in my family, and I'd always referred to the detritus, the stuff on the ground when we were hiking through a forest or on a hillside -- *NOT* a paved or maintained walkway -- as DEE-try-tus. Well, my daughter went off to college. On a visit home, she said she'd referred to it in one of her classes the way I'd always pronounced it. Her teacher said something like, "Oh! You mean dee-TREE-us?" So, dude, you're definitely not alone. I always take such errors to mean a person reads a lot. Right? 😉

Think of the paintings like really talented police sketch artists. They read or hear the story and recreate it. Amazingly talented people who can do that. My art teacher watched me draw one stick figure and decided it was in everyone's best interests to allow me to trace all future projects. Provided I never took another art class. Lol
