@@traviswtaylor16 religion should be looked at more as a teaching tool rather than word for word. I'm agnostic myself, I choose to look at each book of Christianity as teaching tools rather than gospel. Got to remember that the bible has been around thousands of years, translated who knows how many times, chances are its been reworded more than a few times. Between translation errors, and people adding their personal touches to it, who really knows what the original text read. Jesus could have been named Marcus for all we know and could have been a black man from the Phillipines. It probably isn't, but we really don't know with old texts like that. look at these old texts as guidelines on how to live your life, but understand that none of them are perfect. Looking at the bible alone will tell you that, hence why there is an old testament and a new testament, and a thousand years from now there will probably be an even newer testament.

I saw a video of Phil preaching 10 years ago and it changed my life. I was a alcoholic and was probably about to go through a divorce. God poured out his grace on me while a was watching that video and opened my eyes to the life I was living. I poured out over 40 beers and a bottle of liquor that day and haven’t had a drink since. I got saved when I was 19 and strayed away from Jesus. But He called me back that day and I thank God for his grace and the death burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I also thank God for men like Phil Robertson. Keep doing what your doing Mr. Phil and family. People are watching and God is on the move. Thank you

My grandpa was from the Philippines. Old school. Never EVER toss rice when he was around. He grew up when food was the most valuable thing you had. The rice could be 2 weeks old. He'd fry it and eat it. He found discarded rice in the garbage. If he could, he would dig it out and save it. Tough man. He sometimes held my hand. There wasn't an inch of soft skin it.

@@itypethetruthnobshere8975 in a country like that where religion is practised a lot, it teaches generosity. Which actually sometimes has a negative affect. Religion teaches some good values, So people of the poorer income tend to practice it more, believing it will bring good "karma" if you will, and being a good person. But by practising it more often, they may neglect education, working etc, therefor prohibiting any financial gain or success. In other words, this is one way how rich corporations and people can take advantage of the working poor by fake preaching them of goodwill, while the rich themselves focus on hustling financially.

Oh Phil, you have been such a blessing to my husband who was shot in the head in the line of duty while working as a law enforcement officer back in 2001. So much of what he used to enjoy he can no longer do but he is so positive and says that he doesn’t think he was saved prior to the injury. He watches you daily and quotes you often. My mother was the same exact way. When she cooked, she cooked an entire spread. She had intentions of many people to come clear everything out. If everything was cleared out, she wondered if her cooking wasn’t good enough and she got sad. It’s one of the Ten Commandments to Love Thy Neighbor. She was A very Christian woman. One time a bunch of young adults moved next door and they partied too much I guess. Well they didn’t have any money or food on thanksgiving, so she took over plates and plates of food wrapped in Aluminum foil. She was southern WV country girl, a coal miners daughter and a woman that praised god everyday. More people need to do this.

I am a senior women who actually still cooks from scratch and our main carbohydrate at our home is rice, we love it! I usually cook a large batch, keep it in the fridge and later freeze it. Rice freezes very well and is ready to go when you are, just put the frozen rice into a pan, add a little water to it, put the lid on the pot and heat it up, it will be nice and fluffy in about a minute or two and ready to eat.

It's crazy how people subsist on whatever sermon the pastor gives on Sunday morning. His sermon should ONLY be confirmation. Home cooked meals are best, therefore, you should be feeding your spiritual side every day at home. The people that don't tend to their relatioship with Christ at home will get nowhere and Sunday morning church does absolutely nothing for them. We need to get from milk to meat. Church should be fellowship and reaching nonbelievers, not being filled up with the Word. We have 6 other days in a week to do that. And since Christ is 1st, everything under that crumbles when not tended to, so marriage, parenthood, family, friends, yourself, everyday circumstances, etc. How many people in any given church that does that? I'd like for people to observe people's lives that do that.

You dont have to wash rice if you are buying US produced rice. It is precleaned. Rice from Asia need to be washed as it still contained stones and dirt. Just read the direction on the product it differs

People figured out something even better. Not seeing each other. The only down side to cell phones is your employer can call you anywhere. You can still visit each other, we just don't have to now, what you mistook for visits before were actually just welfare checks to make sure you weren't rotting out back or keeled over on your rocking chair.

Anyone can seem however they want over the phone or online, when you see someone face to face where they live, you know them more. Also, people used to help and interact in person more often. i like this man, his rice is tastier than normal since the broth and salt adds flavor. we usually put pandan leaf or other aromatics to make the rice more flavorful as well and he's a kind gentleman that knows the book so i approve!!!

my grandmother was of very modest means but she always had a pot of beans and a stack of tortillas as soon as they’d finish she’d make a fresh batch . Her home was always open and people would always stop by and she would offer them whatever food she had or a cup of coffee. she was adored by many people in her small community.

Every Monday at lunch time my Mamaw used to always make a cake, mostly chocolate, & when asked why she’d say “well in case someone stops by, an empty belly is the devils playground”. There were times she threw away whole untouched cakes & times she had to make an extra one or 2 on Wednesday & Thursday. She never complained abt wasting it or the extra work & never worried abt not being abt to do so either. They didn’t have money to blow but our family were always fed & Loved. Tht generation of people are truly the foundation of what made this country great & it’s a shame tht as time goes on & they go on home, the new generations are truly killing everything of true value. Thank you Phil for being the example you are.
