So, the question remains, how did your voting system became so f*cked up? The founding fathers made the electoral college to prevent a single state having too much power. Bush however abused the system and didn't prevent states from putting legislation in place that prevented black people from voting. If you've been a prisoner in the US, mostly that means you can forget about voting ever again. A disproportionate amount of your black population is not allowed to vote. In the Netherlands, most prisoners are still allowed to cast their vote (if they want to)

It's true that the Spanish king is honoured in the Dutch anthem at the start, but looking further into it. it becomes more and more like a revolution kind of song, I believe.
