So true! Everything we do in America is about protecting STUFF and THINGS. The police are not here to protect US, they are here to protect PROPERTY….we used to be that property. Guns are there to protect property, as well…from other people who want your property. Our obsession with things is our weak link, and will always corrupt everything we do, unless we get some danged self-awareness and figure out what kind of nation we really want to be. And…our superheroes get on my nerves, now! 😂 My superheroes, today will just have to be Jasmine “B6” Crocket, and Kamala “Kamalot” Harris. No unitard needed.😂 🇺🇸💙🇯🇲

Can't even lie. The only reason I just got mine is primarily because MAGA is crazy, I live in a swing state and ain't got time to play. Hopefully we get some solid gun control laws and ban any of the Armalite models or similar firearms. Once that happens, I'll be chill and turn them in.

I grew up with guns in my home. My father headed a radiology dept., so it’s not like he ever carried it. I only saw him go into the gun safe when he thought we had an intruder. We learned about gun safety….but that thing was locked up, tight. Today, I am not opposed to having a gun….but I don’t want to live in a city filled with gun toting crazies. I know plenty of Black folks with guns in my city….but during Covid, when white people were EMBRACING ARMEGEDDON, I realized that I live in a red state! Pickup trucks with gun racks became more visible, dudes dressed up like they are going hunting, wearing MAGA hats. It was REALLY unnerving…and it is apparent that they WANTED to look menacing. I would listen to white people talking in the store, and they seemed to ENJOY the chaos of those years. I wonder what all those “preppers” are going to do, now that the world didn’t end. They STILL have to follow laws, and go back to work. Kamala represents the end of an era of fear to me. They are so mad that they never got their “Civil War 2.0”.

I've roamed the streets of Zimbabwe by myself and just got back from a solo trip to Cape Town. I have never owned a gun and never once was I in a situation where I wish I had one. NOT ONCE. It is a person who lives in fear who needs a gun. Nothing tough or brave about them. What they need to do is to dig down and find out where that fear comes from

An all too common belief is that power places you beyond the fear. There is no concept that is more abusive, more self-destructive, more delusional, more brutal, more cruel and more sought after than power. Perhaps immortality, but even that, is perceived to be a goal that might be within grasp with more power. We perceive "fear" as something to be vanquished. So we try shooting it or bribing it or building stronger walls against it. We tout the usefulness of reason, but power seems to be our default position more often than not. What we discover over and over again is that it is only self-serving, and any return on it's investment is fleeting at best. Evening up the playing field would neutralize much of this, but not everybody wants to share...so we "take".

It was so called founded on fear. They have sadly set the tone and refuse to do the real work.They are comfortable being what they are, no matter how destructive the mindeset is, justifying that they have it right.They donot. How do we know? Look at what it leaves behind. Dressing it up,trying to appear civil doesn't make it so. People have a right to defend themselves with them but with that thinking comes a great responsiblity that is not being taught. It is sad but the responsible better have some. 🛡💙🗽💯

Now we are ‘adult-ing’, same thing with being a parent, now we are ‘parent-ing’. Cosplaying being an adult. Grow up and do youir job as a parent, not as a ‘friend ‘ or peer. Being a parent is an awesome responsibility, yet they let idiots do it. You have to get a license to drive a car.

As a black man and a gun owner, OUR people need to educate ourselves. AR...does not mean Assault Rifle...there is no such thing. AR is short for Armalite Rifles. It is a name of a company, I own one of those as well. These rifles shoot vermin rounds like gophers, squirrels etc. There are hunting rifles that do the exact same thing and look totally different. The problem in not the weapon but the persons intention. The issue is is that our society somehow lost common sense, we have lost stability, mentally an emotionally. As a responsible gun owner, I can not fly off the handle...in fact...I have to take more "ish" from somebody bumping their gums. I have to walk away from ANY conflict that I can. I know that I walk around with the power to take someone else's life AND severely alter my own.(they both go together) own in doing so...that is A LOT of responsibility. I also know that using a weapon of this magnitude is THE VERY LAST option that ANYONE should go to. In our society, it is glorified and many think it is the First option they should reach for.
@karenl77864 ай бұрын
@rodm7850 I think the issue is that so many people thinking it's about being afraid of getting their guns taken would rather be feared than feel fear. Anyone says responsible and sensible gun ownership and control measures and the first thing they think is oh they're taking them away. Absolutely not the same thing. And if an argument about not taking a gun away is someone's first response to a child's murder? They are part of the problem
@rodm78504 ай бұрын
@@karenl7786 I totally agree that there should be sensible gun laws. I also think it goes back to peoples mindset. People needs to realize how to solve problems without resorting to violence, children AND adults. Also, People often leave the "A well regulated Militia" out of their arguments for the Second amendment which it clearly states. The "A well regulated Militia" made sense when the US did not have a standing army...this is no longer the case.

This needs to be studied. I believe the grievance of white Americans should be addressed via education. There is a culture of blaming others for their economic worries instead of the companies that get rid of pensions, skirt insurance responsibility and redirect profits to themselves and not the hardworking employees.
