One thing is a fact. When you travel outside the Matrix America you see the difference in how you are accepted as a Black person male and female by other Black people. There is not judgement. This is why every Black man woman and child should visit Africa one time during their life to absorbed Blackness at its finest. I will definitely be traveling to Ghana to experience my roots and culture.

I was Peace Corps in Tamale back in the mid- to late-2000s and spent a lot of time in Accra and Kumasi. Most of my restaurant time was spent in chop bars since I was living on a few dollars a day. Tamale brings back memories, spent some time up there in 2010-2011 working at the Tamale teaching hospital development/renovation. Lovely lovely people! Food was great, although most of the time it came with a side dish of patience. That city never slept; the mosque call for prayer, the kids on their way to school, the hustle and bustle of the massive market, Giddipass...I defo want to go back there some day
@Wild-RhinoАй бұрын
Yes, great memories for me as well. I actually lived in Savelugu, but spent much of my time in Tamale. Giddipass, haha, and at sunset, especially. I heard they put a bypass road through Tamale town. I'm guessing it's so the big men & women would no longer have to drive through gritty downtown anymore on their way to Bolga or Ouaga.

I lived in Accra for two years in the mid 2000s and back then I could see the potential explosion of this country from a touristic and economic opportunity perspective. But Ghana is not the only African country that has opportunities for African Americans. The African continent is burgeoning with opportunity. You WILL have to work for your dreams to come true, but that is true everywhere. Just in Africa, you don't have to worry about the nonsense you endure as an African American in the USA. Next time some knucklehead says to me "Go back to Africa..." my response will be I CAN'T WAIT!!

I’ve probably shared the first Passport Heavy video of Ghana with over 1,000 people. The production is top-tier! I watched the entire thing in one sitting-which I never do. Definitely the go-to person for showcasing the Motherland. ❤️
