Currency conversion: Countries that are candidates for the introduction of the euro usually have an already set exchange rate framework. The exchange rate (in Germany 1€=1.95883 DM) was set back in 1999, i.e. before the original introduction of the euro (2002). There are usually no problems with the conversion, especially in border regions (Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, etc.), as you can often pay in both currencies. However, you will receive the change in the respective national currency.

Don`t forget to say Switzerland is a tax haven for tax evaders, not only normal people, but also for Oloigarch`s, Dictator`s and Autocrat`s from all over the world.
@lucaszech132813 күн бұрын
Switzerland functions as a global tax haven through a combination of legal, political, and financial mechanisms designed to attract wealth while shielding it from taxation and scrutiny. Here's an overview for someone unfamiliar with European dynamics: 1. Banking Secrecy Switzerland's legendary banking secrecy laws, in place for decades, allowed wealthy individuals and corporations to hide assets from foreign tax authorities. Although global pressure led to some reforms after 2017, loopholes and sophisticated structures such as trusts and shell companies ensure that Switzerland remains a hub for tax avoidance. 2. Low Tax Rates Switzerland's federal structure allows its 26 cantons (regions) to set their own tax rates. Many offer extremely low taxes to corporations and wealthy individuals, creating intense competition to attract money. This "tax competition" leads to what some call a "race to the bottom," where taxes are systematically reduced to appeal to foreign investment. Corporate Tax Benefits: Multinational companies often use Switzerland to book profits, taking advantage of preferential tax rates that lower their global tax bills significantly. 3. Double Taxation Agreements Switzerland has signed numerous bilateral agreements with other countries to avoid taxing the same income twice. However, corporations exploit these treaties to engage in "profit shifting," moving profits to Switzerland while costs are assigned to higher-tax jurisdictions. 4. Anonymity and Complex Structures Trusts and Foundations: Swiss laws allow for the creation of opaque legal entities, such as trusts and foundations, that hide the identities of actual beneficiaries. Lack of Transparency: Switzerland is slower than other jurisdictions in implementing measures requiring disclosure of beneficial ownership, making it difficult to trace who truly owns assets. 5. Links to Neoliberal Networks Switzerland is closely tied to organizations like the Mont Pelerin Society and the Atlas Network, which promote policies favoring tax cuts, deregulation, and minimal government intervention. These global networks reinforce Switzerland's role as a tax haven by lobbying against stricter international tax regulations. 6. Political Stability and Neutrality Switzerland's political neutrality and stable legal system make it an attractive destination for the world's wealthy to store their money, protecting it from political or economic instability in other countries. The Consequences 1. Lost Revenue: Governments around the world lose billions in tax revenue annually as companies and the wealthy shift profits and assets to Switzerland. 2. Inequality: Tax avoidance by the ultra-rich exacerbates global inequality, as ordinary citizens bear a heavier tax burden. 3. Harm to Public Services: With reduced tax revenues, many countries struggle to fund healthcare, education, and infrastructure, undermining social welfare. Scandals and Examples Switzerland’s role in tax evasion and avoidance has been exposed in scandals like the SwissLeaks and the Panama Papers, where it was revealed that Swiss banks and financial institutions actively helped clients evade taxes.

He doesn't know that Ukraine is not in the Balkans and that Russia's western border ends in the east of Ukraine and that the south of Russia includes Georgia as one of the countries or 2. He knows something we don't? Will Ukraine get conquered by Russia and we, Romania, as part of the Balkans with border them? God forbid, we're in NATO, let's hope this won't happen or the Russians will open "Pandora's box" and the 3rd world war might begin. I know Americans might not give a damn about us, the small countries over here and even though their media made it look fantastic and awesome with attention grabbing titles on the news, they promised to give weapons to Ukraine yet they delayed them by months. I know they don't care if Romania and Moldova (and especially the Transnistrian border where Russian citizens live and where Russian troops are put into place for tens of years) will border Russia and the Ukraine that let's assume it might be destroyed. It's an ocean that separates us yet they promise to help us. Better not promise, everyone must defend itself and its own country, they shouldn't act as the ones that protect us from the "bullies" (Russians) like they'd be our bigger brother. They should calm down and fix their issues in their own country not act as everybody's bodyguard and "friend" when all they care about is making money from other countries while reaping the rewards. Yes, Russia is bad too, they get into trouble too but America is the same if not worse. They better start opening their eyes and leave the other countries alone. Why spend so much money on military? Basically Russia and Belarus lures immigrants from the middle East with false promises of living in the west and then dumps them on the Polish-Belarusian border en mass. Since this started the Polish army tries to prevent them fron entering because it would destabilise our country. Until recently they were forbidden to use lethal force no matter the circumstance. And then a polish soldier was killed. After that they allowed the soldiers to shoot as an absolute last resort.

Czechia drinks the most beer, by long shot. Austria also drinks slightly more beer than Germany, the Belgians as well. Beer wasn't "invented" by Germany, in fact, beer wasn't really so much "invented", as it has rather basically always been around in some form, ever since humans started farming grains.

Switzerland is known to be quite a wealthy country. Nice strategy if he did this. Gotta give him credit where it's due. 😅🙂

Let’s be real for a Sec. At the moment, Western Europe faces a bigger crisis compared to Eastern Europe. In many aspects things are going downhill. Take safety, for example. You. feel more at safe walking through cities in Eastern European or Balkan countries at night than in cities like Paris, Rome, London, Berlin, or Barcelona. In Western Europe, there is a noticeable rise in crime, homelessness, drug abuse, and prostitution, along with a larger influx of immigrants. Over the past three to four years, these issues have been more visible in Western Europe than in Eastern Europe. Economically, Western Europe, including Germany, can feel like a dead trap unless you're earning well above (Almost double) the average salary. Buying an apartment, let alone a house, is basically Impossible. Labeling these countries as "stable" or their Big cities as "safe" seems out of touch with reality. Those who live in Europe and have traveled tru Europe will understand what I mean :D

As a German I can say that the scandinavian people are very kind. It’s something I can’t say about people from Poland and the former USSR countries. French people can also be a bit strange. Many french people avoid to speak english or other languages even they learned them in school. There‘s a law in France (and also in Spain) that force the radio stations to play 40% french songs. If you travel to France you need to know that a knowledge of a bit french is necessary. In nearly every others country in the world you can help yourself with english.

About the tipping! I'm french, so just to rephrase it: you leave money on the table. you rarely give it to the waiter/waitress (though you can, if you find their service to have been good/very good or Extra. feel free to give it to them directly) In some cafes and restaurant you pay at your table so they'll bring you the bill on a little plate and will make you pay there. You can take your time to get your stuff and before you leave the table you can leave some money in the plate. The waiter coming to take care of cleaning that table will either pocket it or put it in their tip jar depending on the establishment policies. Also. I don't think it's a good thing to tip more than 10% or 20% mostly because you'll get looks, might draw attention, shock the workers... but what do I know, It's just that tipping is not a requirement in France. sure I've left coins a couple times when I could, though like she said with a minimum wage you waaaant the money from tips, but you're not gonna argue with a customer leaving your table without a tip.

I do understand that it might be unappropriate, racist and what not, but I´ve tried to simplify it to an american point of view to make it more easy to understand) a bunch of cubans, gypsies and mexicans have taken over california with a roman heritage. You´ll find beautiful, warm climate, great beaches, awesome ancient structures and heritage, amazing views with totaly busy areas around the tourist hot spots, but as soon as you leave the coastal districts and drive a few miles away from the seaside you´ll totally get this toootally "relaxed" feeling of the caribbean "livestyle" embedded into totally awesome views and surroundings. Besides that-they have really AWESOME food "down there!"

9:45 As a German I must disagree. We ain't got nothing on the Czech. Edit: Calling Switzerland poor is wild. They have a fascinating history and are very wealthy indeed. Edit2: Talking shit about Italian cuisine is insane. Especially pizza. And no, it's not spinach, it's fresh basil and it's sublime. You've never had proper Italian food if you think it sucks and god forbid you tell that to an actual Italian. They've got among the best foods in the world and they will not back down until you do - and rightfully so. I'm right here marching at their side. Italian portions are sized to stay in shape and also to have multiple different dishes over hours of dining with their families. Edit3: 35:45 not in France it isn't. In Germany it would be, that's why we tip when we pay. The French and Italians like to take their sweet time, it's more of a social occasion for them, more loungy, whereas in Germany you'd get stern looks if you haven't vacated your table 10 to 15 minutes after paying. Different cultures entirely, even though we're neighbours.

What you told about mexican food can be applied to Pizza. 90% of the european pizza is not like the "italian" pizza. I'm italian and I usually don't go for a pizza in Europe. And the reason is native ingredients: it's really hard to bring fresh mozzarella to other countries because if you eat it after 2/3 days the taste is different. American pizza is good, but different. You go for quantity, we go for quality. About tips: workers in Europe usually don't need tips for living, it's an extra. that's why is always optional. You need to come to Italy ;)

Well, to be completely honest, as a Ukrainian, I like my country, I like living here. When the whole full scale invasion started I made a decision to stay where I am and help people with what I can…cause I like the place where I live, not because of lack of options. Please don’t misjudge how people may feel about living where they were born. Western Europe has its pros and cons, like every place in the world and it’s not obligatory more positive than negative. Many of them lack what differentiates Western Europe from Eastern culturally and ethnically, knowledge of knowing local traditions, culture of behaviour in certain circumstances, cuisine, etc. Comfort of being accustomed to local features, yet being borderline close to other European countries gives you an opportunity to live without the feeling of being an alien, but at the same time travelling for several months to a place you wanted to. Benefits of both worlds. Just because you were not born in France, Germany or GB doesn’t mean you feel like shit by default. Edit: Take all the edgy stuff you hear or read about Europe with a grain of salt. It’s like assessing average American by your “stupid things Americans asked you” videos. It’s not representative and does not give you a better picture. It may be utter bs, it may have some truth to it. It’s case-based and always in need of a double-check. Edit(2): In Ukraine it’s illegal to refuse a person to visit a bathroom. There’s a very small number of them mostly in places like parks, where you have to pay like 25 American freedom cents, but other than that specific instance, nature’s call is not monetised.

The map of that belgian/durch town looks like that not because didn't get along but because they did. The maps looks like that, because there was some land dispute and instead of going to war over it, they went through painstaking details and figured it out for every single teeny tiny plot of land. Had they gone to war because of it, it would all simply either be dutch or belgian.
