I believe in the United States. I came here when I was seventeen. Every day since then the United States has burned in my very soul. I will never stop believing in this magnificent country

and we are stronger because you are here. I too will never stop believing, and words like yours remind me , America is still alive.

Those who have been born & raised in this country, which our ancestors risked so much in order to ensure their families futures, should be grateful that they chose not to raise their family wherever they were escaping. America may not be perfect but it's still better than so many alternatives.

Nice video that represents so many different cultures. The USA is a romantic ideology. It is not perfect but it is what humanity aspires to be.

Neil Diamond is one of my all time favorites. This was a great video...what a wonderful history lesson! They looked so happy to be arriving in America. This video should be played every single day in schools, work places and especially to the people in government to remind everyone that we are supposed to be the role model of freedom and hope for the future.. Thank you for the time you took to put this together. I so appreciated seeing this video. If you are looking for new groups to react to, I'd like to suggest a group called Home Free. They are billed as a Country Acapella group; however they perform all genres. There are no instruments; however, they do have a champion beatboxer that sounds like he swallowed most of the instruments that make up a band. They perform covers of other artists and also write and perform their own music. If you decide to check them out, start with "Man of Constant Sorrow" and "Ring of Fire" to a feel for their voices. They have amazing voice ranges. They can also be pretty funny without losing the quality of their voices. I hope you decide to check them out.

Thank you so much for sharing this video on KZbin. It tore at my heart when my great great great grandparents arrived in Ellis Island and migrated to Texas. The odd thing was my GGG grandfather totally embraced becoming an American and its culture, but my GGGgrandmother’s heart remained loyal to her motherland and taught her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all her country’s songs and legends. When the last of their children moved away to their own lives, the GGGgrandfather moved across town to a big house and was the first person in town to have a brand new bathtub installed. Being staunch Roman Catholics, they never divorced but never reconciled their political beliefs and died separately in their own homes. Anyway, thank you for sharing this Neil Diamond song. Cracklin’ Rosie is a gem, also.

I'm proud of the fact that I have six ancestors who arrived on the Mayflower, but I'm sad that I don't have anyone who came through Ellis Island. It's sacred ground.

I just learned that I have two ancestors who came through Castle Garden. That was where immigrants came though before Ellis Island came into operation.

This video is lovely and inspiring.. depicting good people from around the world.. yearning to be free and being able to better themselves. But that is the PAST. The reality of what is going on now is that we have the scum of the earth flooding into the USA to cash in on social welfare programs and engage in underhanded and criminal enterprises. This happened in the past in a very limited and organized way - organized crime. Now, what was the exception is now the rule! In the past, we had an influx of good people with a few bad apples. Now.. we get an influx of bad apples with a few good people!
