Google wasn't banned by China, Google quit China because it didn't want to follow Chinese law and government security mandates. Google's reasoning was it can pick and choose what laws to follow because it is superior to China even when operating in China, to the delight of American politicians and anti-China PC types. Abandoning the Chinese market was a huge favor to Chinese tech companies and a huge mistake by America.

I do my best to avoid US brands unless I really need to and that is becoming less and less needed. All America did is make China fast track development of local brands instead of relying on US brands. So in the end they did China a favor. You now can get a lot of great products for less.

I just bought a Huawei 5G sim AX72000 modem router & have never been happier !😊 It has the lowest latency & double WiFi strength among my other modems even though I am at the fringe of 5G coverage & I can play fast FPS shooter games & win many more times !!🌝😁 Nobody can stop me from buying Huawei, not even the US.😄😁🤣

Beeing a Portuguese, I can understand that the price and quality of Chinese products trigger some fear in Western manufacturers, but I can imagine mutual benefits from "free market" . Apple is just an example of losing market, but other companies that had China as big customers, will be affected either. Nvidia, itself had quite important customers in China. I hope Chinese manufacturers will benefit from the huge domestic market and from Bric countries. We need a more balanced world that is not dependent of arbitrary decisions by some

Apple is going downhill in China but also in the whole world because of lack of innovations. Huawei on the other hand is thriving as its technology is improving with new innovative applications which boost its market share in smartphone and AI branches. Apple’s move to produce its iPhone in India was a blunder as its low quality standards makes Apple’s iPhone even less attractive to Huawei’s smartphone. The USA’s sanctions were not only ineffective to defeat Huawei but they make it even stronger as these sanctions backfired.

I'm glad I ditched iPhone ages ago due to their poor aspect cannot be my workphone and overpricing, I'm using Huawei folding phone, much better quality for every aspect! Australia mobile networks still not as good as China. Still got dominant by Telstra and Vodanfone with okay only signal. Still selling crapy iPhone and overpriced Samsung phones, and reducing selling chinese flapship phones for monopolised the phone market. Huawei should partnering with Australia government open their 6G network store in Australia to shake their local mobile network companies to make a higher standard.

There's no denying Huawei's place under the sun. Huawei is privately owned by its employees which gives Huawei an edge in dedication and devotion to Huawei's success. The employees know that if their efforts succeed, they will share in Huawei's profits, often several times their salaries. The US picked on the wrong dragon and Huawei's tongue of fire will scorch the US efforts to restrict its rise. China DOES indeed have a competitor to Nvidia's H100 series AI chip, Huawei has released its Ascend 910C which is said to compete with Nvidia's H100 in performance. Further, Alibaba has also released an AI chip, the Honguang 800 which focuses on interface graphics processing. Because of the high cost of AI chips, you can bet there will be other Chinese companies trying to catch the gold ring in the AI mary go round. Even American semiconductor companeis are competing with Nvidia. Intel with its Xenon AI accelerator chip and AMD's Epic series MI325X AI accelerator chip. All this means is competition in the AI sector and will see performance rises and cost reductions in the future. Because of US government restricions against Nvidia, Nvidia is about to lose the China market from Chinese domestic companies entering the frey. Now we will see whether Nvidia can survive with one hand tied behind its back by the US government. Something not advertised much is the fact that China is fighting fire with fire and its counter moves can have significant effects on US semiconductor production. So far, gallium, germanium, cobalt, graphite, antimony, silicon wafers, and rare earth IP are restricted by China to exports to the US. As the need for these critical items become scarce, we shall see how the US is able to handle these restrictions.
