It doesn't provide for toilet paper, paper towels, feminine hygiene, diapers or wipes. Many people lost jobs due to COVID. People were going months with unemployment claims not processed. Unemployment doesn't cover all the bills for most people. If you get evicted, it's harder to get another rental. The eviction is on your record and you need first month/last month etc. If you had that, you would have paid rent where you were living. A large majority of the US lives paycheck to paycheck. Go a few weeks/months w/out a paycheck and the spiral downwards happens pretty quickly.

At the begging of COVID I couldent apply for disablity then when Oregon reopened in phase two I applied because of my vision impairment and learning disablity and they said I faked my disablity and I’m like I have invisible disabilities and I barely get out of bed to take care of my service dog and cats but I have to and I can only work two to three days because my disablity slows me down it slows me down a lot to where if I clean a bathroom might take someone twent mintunes takes me an hour to do it because I’m so limited I dident ask to be disabled

Hello There you would think so but I worked full time and after gas, rent, taxes, child support( divorced but my children always got what they needed) I would barely have enough left to buy food for the week. I didn’t spend on anything essential. Because I worked I didn’t qualify for any assistance. Many times I had to go to my moms to eat dinner or i would go without. Thankfully I have a better paying job but that experience humbled me and taught me value lessons and I’m truly grateful for what my Lord and savior Jesus Christ has blessed me with. As a South Korean, I can't believe Americans suffer from the problem of food insecurity at all. According to the given statistical data, even the lowest percentile of the American population need to spend ONLY about 30% of their income on food, which means that they have 70% of their income left! Then how can you possibly suffer from hunger in the first place? Assuming that you don't have to buy a Gucci bag or an Apple phone every month, you can increase your spending on food consumption by 20%, and you still have half of your income left! What the heck is your problem then? Wouldn't this be a problem of overspending or reckless consumption, peculiar to Americans?

I feel her pain and it’s terrible. I lost my job at a top healthcare center working for a methadone clinic!! One of my clients and a colleague died!! After that my branch was shut down completely. I’ve been out of work since March 22nd and it’s hard as hell. I’m a single man with no kids and it’s very hard on top of all my bills to the point where I’m drowning so I can imagine a family with children is going through so much more !! The media does not mean to not go to work. People cannot go to jobs that aren't there anymore or that aren't open because their customers are without jobs themselves and no longer have money to be customers except for bare necessities. What the MEDIA means by "Stay home" is its telling us to stay home and NOT get together as usual for the holidays. The Media is not telling people who have jobs to not go to their jobs. The message is Staying home --away from get togethers because it's proven the most increases in current COVID cases are coming from small to large get-togethers of family and friends. I worked at food banks and homeless shelters and pantries. I don’t understand how ppl that need food and are “starving” are overweight. If u are taking in enough calories to gain weight then you have enough food. Share with your kids and neighbors. I’ve seen so many very large ppl getting their free food and just stuffing their faces beyond what is a normal amount. If they cut back and ate a normal amount there would be more food for others. Most of the ppl standing in the last food giveaway line I worked in were obese. Not just overweight, but obese. They are not starving. (Go ahead and hate on me, it’s the truth)

I am impressed by the great mom and grandma in the video who takes so much responsibility on their shoulders and being strong for their families and kids. They are going through so many things but they are still so humble, so nice and they even didn't complain but calmly telling their stories. It makes me heart break to see those nice, loving and caring people going through all these hardships because of the pandemic and incoming economic crisis.
