Ouch! That cancellation sounds like a headache. I only flew Spirit once when I did RDU-BOS-RDU in Jan 2020 (right before the pandemic hit) since I did a weekend trip and the flight was $99 round trip. It wasn’t bad since the flight was only like 2 hours but I haven’t flown them since then because I haven’t found a deal as sweet as that one

The deals are hard to pass up. I flew Oakland to Los Angeles for $38 round trip once with Spirit. Just depends if the deals are worth the risk. The shorter flights do seem to have less issues for sure, though.

I only book deals when I have no checked baggage

I've always had good luck with Spirit, (I probably just jinx myself). going cross country, I always get the big front seat and never check a bag, I only bring carry on bags.

Dude can I borrow some of that luck 🤣 I’ve only had about 2 normal flights with them and 10s of cancellations, delays, lost bags, no refunds….. I’m jealous

0:53 Even Spirit knows Colombia is the best latin country so thats why they gave them a dedicated check in area

I'm really not a fan of the LCC model. I would gladly pay more to go on a legacy.

Definitely a more enjoyable experience. Just depends on how important the cost is to you. For some people, having the cheapest fare trumps all else

when did you get your bags back? this past summer a friend of mine took southwest and they forgot his bags in Houston while he went home to tampa LOL

This trip actually only took me about 30 mins to get my bags. However…… this year I had a total of 4 flights booked on spirit and 3 of them were cancelled, so “technically” no wait for the bags on arrival (considering we never arrived 🤣)
