Alex, Going forward, the Maverick's 4,000 lbs tow rating seems like a good benchmark for all compact hybrids. For some time I have been calling on Toyota to upgrade the RAV4 Hybrid to a 3,500 lbs tow rating in the next generation and Ford has proven it is attainable in a 40 mpg hybrid.

That is a really nice update by Ford on the Maverick...I have a 2019 Ranger in for service and sat in a 2023 Maverick in the dealers showroom..Im a bit svelte at 6'2" 250 lbs..I was generally surprised at how comparable the room inside was to my Ranger..in fact the seats were more comfortable...headroom and overall space were equally impressive..I don't see myself moving into a Maverick soon but its good to know that room at least for me shouldn't be a problem...thank you for the great review

Original Santa Cruz pre-order guy here. The AWD hybrid is going to be money for Ford. It's a nice update on the outside, a few good updates inside, and that green is FANTASTIC. (Ford always had pretty good colours on this though, to be fair.) These "small" trucks (had an 83 S-10 many, many years ago, much smaller than this or the Cruz) really are the right size for most couples or people who don't need to pack a bunch of people in the back regularly. If you normally carry 3-5 people. these vehicles still aren't for you because the back seat space IS compromised for the beds. Good job Ford. Took you a few years, but you seem to have listened to what people wanted. (Still prefer my Hyundai though. :D )

This truck is exactly what I’ve been wanting for the past 4 yrs! -Hybrid or Electric Truck -Still relatively affordable (my build with everything I wanted came out to 33k and change) - a solid towing number for the class at 4K lbs -Sync 4 with Wireless Apple CarPlay (which in my experience has actually been more reliable than Chevy and Hyundai) - And mechanical AWD! Damnit Alex is was living peacefully with my Ioniq 5 but I might have to snag this Mav refresh. 🔥

HVAC controls are the biggest miss IMO. But there's gotta be compromises to hit price points I guess, and despite what many manufacturers market, programming a Chinese screen is a lot cheaper than designing and manufacturing buttons and dials.

The thing I love the most about my maverick is the physical buttons. I just want to pause my music or adjust AC with one click instead of everything being built in to the touchscreen. That being said I’d love to double my towing capacity at no cost to efficiency- tempting but I’ll hold onto mine for now

We bought a 2023 Maverick and paid $32,000 for it with the towing package, AWD, and Fx4 package on the XLT trim, and it's in the beautiful Chili Pepper Red color! So we are really happy and content with our little truck. These new models have bigger screens and a decent new front-end design, and I love that green color, but I have a few gripes about it that I would still choose my model year if I bought again. Namely: the touchscreen climate controls, the blue interior accents are more obnoxious than my orange ones, in my opinion, and of course, the starting price is about $6,000 higher.

Went on the Ford website and priced one out with just all-wheel-drive the plainest XL trim you can get with all-wheel-drive and it was “only” $30,110 here in south Texas. Even in the snowbelt states it seems like they would like this.

I found a review with a picture and it shows the starter battery and maybe a control module? on one side under the seat. I knew that there would be some space lost under there compared to my FX4 that basically has the equivalent storage of 2 small suitcases. Handy for a camping trip with a small RV without much storage.

Great updates, it fixed the things I was wanting most. Push button in XLT, and larger screen across the line up. I have a 2023 and while I likely won't be trading it in for the 25 it is temping with all the changes. Nice addition with the extra towing available with AWD also. Team Hybrid all the way

As an owner of a 23 Maverick EB, these changes look good, however, I'm disappointed in the price increase again. The new base price is almost what I paid for an XLT, AWD, EB with a bunch of options. Also, don't love the new HVAC controls.

Allocation is by country. A certain amount of production will go to Canadian dealers. The question is price. Ford sells the Canadian base version starting at $35K according to their website. It's far from the great value it debuted at, so I will be curious to see if the 2025s in Canada go up. Right now the base price on Canada seems to convert to the prices for the 2025 in the US.

I would say the new AWD Ford Maverick will help overall Maverick sales immensely and will harken a resurgence in the small to medium truck market. I got fed up with the dealer shenanigans trying to get into a hybrid maverick last year and so went with the Hyundai Santa Cruz. Not my first choice, but it's doing all the things that I need it to do for now. $24k for a mid-level SEL AWD with sunroof, tonneau cover, non turbo, standard trans, lane keep, wireless CarPlay, all of that other stuff. I would get the Maverick as a trade, but likely it's going to be around $40k again for any worthwhile spec....too rich for a throw-away vehicle.

I wish you could combine Adaptive Cruise Control + Off-Road Package + Hybrid Powertrain. You can get 2 out of 3 in three different ways: FX4 off-road package + Hybrid on the XLT, but you can't get adaptive cruise on that model Lariat w/adaptive cruise + Hybrid, but there's no off-road package for the Lariat Tremor trim with off-road equipment and adaptive cruise, but you can't get a hybrid Tremor

Glad to see Ford add some safety feature, but it seems to me they are missing the boat by not including all the safety features like adaptive cruise, blind spot, etc. in all the trim levels. Currently driving Honda hybrids and even the base models have the safety features. I realize they are available as options, but they should be standard equipment.

It's actually not under the back seat like in a Toyota/Honda hybrid. Ford prefers liquid-cooled sealed packs under the car. The battery is located outside the passenger compartment, roughly under the front passenger seat. Because it is liquid cooled, it is considerably smaller than the battery in a RAV4 hybrid.
