It may not have lead me to many other acting roles directly, but Elizabeth and I have been very good friends since this shoot in February/March of ‘92. We felt like movie stars there in Ripley, WV. Because of the senseless murder of his young son. John Walsh channeled both his anger and energy to rid the country of slime. He was the Punisher/Batman who didn’t need to fight crime with force. You can see his calculating coldness and determination in each episode. I use to watch this show religiously. All good thing came to a end when Fox dropped the series and it finally came to a end.

@DONALD SHAUN LOTHIRATH I saw archive footage of John as a pre-celebrity but a average Joe and beloved father pleading for his son’s safe return to a broken man with tragedy striking him courtesy of “All Americans” in the form of Henry Lee Lucas and Otis toole. This man and this show are incredible. I feel so much pain for the loss of his son. But between him and this show, they've help solve so many cases. Also, for the ones talking about Unsolved Mysteries. Robert Stack was a G. His voice made the landscape of the show so much more than what it was.

Literally the 2 hands down best made shows that was invented on TV that helped so many people. In fact both are the type of shows that actually should stay on TV forever and live on ! So much crime going on we need shows like these again ! In fact AMW is making a comeback on FOX as of January 22 2024. Spread the wrd so it will get great views and FOX can keep AMW on for good !

Yes. This episode aired on a Friday night (roughly) and by the following Saturday (8 days) Garrett was in custody. He was working with horses in western NC or eastern KY and the folks he was working with recognized him from the show. [I was recognized from the episode the next day in a convenience store in NYC] Glad I played Ronnie and NOT Rusty. The actor who played Rusty was recently seen in a first season episode of Burn Notice playing a character named Jumbo.

I loved this show so much as a little kid. I would get home from school, run around the house with unbridled ADD, and then dinner would be served and all of us would squish together on the couch and watch the newest episode of AMW, and then my parents would drill train us for stranger danger and how to escape the trunk of a car. Thankfully that paid off for me and my brother once.

You had a weird childhood very strange indeed when I got home from school we watched cartoons ate supper and went outside to play and of the only stranger danger We knew was if you mess with one of us you was messing with all of us and we traveled in large groups I don't care how big you are you ain't taking down 15 11-year old kids at least not back then you two probably ended up with a knife in your neck cuz all of us boys carried one in my small town people knew not to mess with any of the kids yeah that might only be one kid you see but there's probably 14 others around behind that one and if you're a stranger they were watching and on top of that there was probably an adult with a gun watching from a window back then us kids walk through a neighborhood we knew we had eyes on us because other parents was keeping an eye out it was a different time man

RebaFan, This episode was shot in Ripley, WV by the production company STF for Fox network. It aired on all of those affiliated Fox stations originally in March of 1992, just after it was shot. It may have appeared in re-runs or in syndication since then. I know it aired overseas, too, but it was not filmed by a specific Fox station. STF Productions was a Fox production company, many of those working on the shoot were from LA or NYC.
