What about Michael Jackson? So disappointed by the people trying to cut his legacy. He dominated and entertained many generations. You can omit him from your documentary but he will never be forgotten

history of music and nothing about michael jackson? saved me from watching this

Do you seriously think they can fit everything in into 40 minutes? I'm a fan of MJ myself but this is just overly nitpicky
@Uniquececile Жыл бұрын
@@gwarchive Don't you think that he deserves his place among the greatest? He reinvented music and influence a lot of artists, more than a lot that was mentioned. But you are entitled to your opinion.
@gwarchive Жыл бұрын
@@Uniquececile I agree that he has a longlasting impression among artists and non artists, basically all of humanity. That is no doubt. Granted the film could have been more comprehensive but it did what it tried to be: a tour of the US while weaving bits of music. Plus those music licenses cost a kidney.

More like this one musicians musical journey that you are required to watch for online college. Its pretty cool though. Dont think I didnt catch the subtle racism.

I don't think the music comes from Africa I think it's home grown American, Black American. We were stripped of everything African. If the music is so African. Where were the African Blues and Jazz music in history, in the Caribbean or South America?? 400 years after we were sold into to slavery by our "brother and sisters". We were making music that was of a new Black America culture totally different from anything African.
