Not quite true and a bit generalised. It's not specifically the mother- in many instances it is actually more ascribed to the father, showing violence towards the mother or their child that ends up being a killer. Conversely, some serial killers experience no abuse and live normal childhoods. Many of them do experience disruptions or abuse in childhood so you aren't wrong, but it's just not accurate enough with regards to the sadistic mother. You can argue serial killers come from every kind of environment imaginable.

Interesting clip. Not really all that accurate though. I actually met him when I was a child. He did odd jobs for my uncle. He actually babysat my cousin and I one afternoon at his farm. Told us to play under the tree and not to go into the house or any of the out buildings. Luckily we followed his instructions. I remember he was very odd. He would just start laughing at nothing. Really a strange unforgettable laugh. I don’t think we were in any danger as long as we stayed under the tree and didn’t discover his secret. He had a thing about women. He was arrested 2 or 3 days after our afternoon under the tree.

This reminds me how people can become like what they are treated like. The mother treated him like he was completely incompetent of having his own sense of good morals and he became that way and ended up always needing someone like her to keep criticizing him about it. As much as he missed her is probably how much he actually needed her when she died.
@priestessmikokikyo776 жыл бұрын
Ed more than just cared for his mother he was deeply in love with her! despite the fact she was clearly mentally ill herself, why did she stay with her good for nothing husband George all that time seriously, This happened in a time when women and men did not get divorced often . but If she hated him so much Why did she?! every time they had a fight and they would beat each other she would get down on her knees and pray for his death! I am a woman who knows his story well and it is heartbreaking tragic!
@chandel94496 жыл бұрын
priestessmikokikyo77 If you spend a long time memorizing words and become good at it, your memory will probably become better at remembering anything. The mind is a bit like a muscle. If someone does arm curls with weights then they will be able to lift more of any type of object rather than only weights. If Ed’s mother was sexually depriving herself and keeping her painful beliefs then her husband would also be in the same category as her beliefs. She would keep him and the pain he would bring just like she would keep her beliefs and the pain they would bring.

@chandel94496 жыл бұрын
tap water Christianity and religions like this are common but there are a few differences here. In this situation with Ed, it was very intense. Also the more someone likes a person, the more influenced they can become, and he loved his mother very much. With intense enough pressure on anyone, there will be problems.
@chandel94496 жыл бұрын
Kevin Yu there are probably other reasons too, but I do think what I said has a contribution and may have made the other reasons more powerful. So you mentioned it would be a sin to get to divorce because it would go against her religion views. She had a unique perspective of the Bible and I don’t see any certainty what you mentioned is correct with her. It might be, or maybe not. It is common for Christians to have different interpretations because of the language. Let me know if you see proof. Your second comment can have a few meanings and it’s not clear what I should assume you mean. Besides that, there are many arguments I can think of that could be brought up, and many ways I could argue those as well. There is potential for this conversation to go on for a very long time.

SamBoy1135 Texas Chainsaw Massacre was inspired by Ed. The video also leaves out how we would dig dead people out of their graves and stripped them of their skin, which he admitted to. That would explain why he was only confirmed to kill two people. Because in his words he would go steal the skin he needed from freshly buried bodies. Just little facts I guess.

After studying a bunch of different serial killers, I've came to form a theory that may explain a good amount of them. It is a mix of sexual perversion (that's why police will often find samples of sperm near, or on their dead victims) and a terrible upbringing. Many, if not all, serial killers were psychologically damaged by their mothers during their childhoods. Your mother is the person who is supposed to love you unconditionally, but when a mother treats a son like absolute shit with no love whatsoever, it does intense damage. The boy goes into life with no love and a growing contempt for people, sometimes just women. This contempt then mixes with their sexuality and causes strange fetishes to form. That's why certain serial killers would orgasm during the act of murder. The feeling of killing someone you deeply despise but are also sexually attracted to feels so good for them that it becomes sexual. The sexual element is definitely true to some extent which is why gay serial killers tend to target men, while straight serial killers target women. It tends to make sense for many serial killers if you look at the facts. The horrible mothers, traumatizing childhood experiences, and broken sexualities.
